Kai's POV
I arrived at the manor, looking very heartbroken. I had expressed my feelings, and still, it wasn't enough. She wouldn't choose me, regardless of whatever I do. I walked into the manor, feeling very tired and angry. There was a very huge wash of self loathe over me also.
I got into the manor, and Lucia was asleep on the couch. I stayed there for a while, looking at her. I tried sneaking into the room, but I was halted by her voice.
“Are you really going to leave me here?” She asked.
I turned back to see her already seated. She was still in the night gown.
“I didn't want to wake you up.” I responded, walking towards her.
“I've been waiting for you. It's been two hours.” Lucia said, but I didn't respond.
