I woke up feeling a devastating headache. Thankfully, June had already seen it coming, and there was a pain killer by my side, with a cup of water. I gulped it down my throat without thinking.
I spent some time staring into nothingness, just taking a pause where I wasn't thinking or moving. I was just existing.
I finally forced myself off the bed after remembering that Aurora had helped me home the previous night. I would not even blame the guards if she found a way to slip past them.
My mind crossed Lucia and the possible things she could have said to make Aurora give up totally on me. It made me scared and angry at the same time.
