Chapter 8“Mine” Jack growled, burying his face in Miriam’s neck and rubbing it back and forth. Miriam was momentarily struck by how similar this was to Ash’s actions earlier that morning. But where Ash’s proclamation had sent warm, contented shivers down her spine, Jack’s actions felt nothing but wrong.
“No!” Miriam shouted, doing her best to push Jack away. “I am not yours!”
Jack was like a solid wall of brick before her, strong and unmovable. She tried pulling his hair, sinking her nails into his skin, even kneeing him in the groin – nothing seemed to faze him.
“You are mine,” he growled into her neck. “That stupid pup thinks he can take you from me. But he can’t. Already lost my rightful position as Alpha. Won’t lose you too.”
