Beauty & the Alpha

I grew up in a simple home, I went to school, I was top of my class, I went shopping, I wore what I wanted, I did what I wanted when I wanted. Did you notice how It is all in past tense. As in it is not now, I was pulled from school, why would I need it, my Mate says I do not need it, why would a pretty girl be smart too? I miss those days, I miss my friends, let me start with how life was Before he showed up in my life. He may be an amazing man, but he is a very controlling man, he says what I wear, where I go, when I do anything, its annoying, I understand some but seriously I’m still young I want to experience things. But its obvious I never will.   My mother was a caring woman, she stayed at home to raise us pups while father, his names Eric, went about his business as a warrior. Father was a caring man, he loved his job so much, and he hoped one of the boys would take over when he was no longer fit to do so. I was a daddy’s girl, through and through, he gave me everything and more. Mother her names Aria, she had 4 of us in total, myself Rosetta, my sister, Alyssa, and my 2 brothers, Dominic (we call him Dom) and the baby of the family Christian. I am the second eldest, Dom is the eldest, he is already in College, second year, I was a Senior, Alyssa has 2 years left of school and Christian is just starting High School. I am the top of my class, head of the debate team, we have not lost once. I do not believe in fighting a losing battle, but if I believe in it, you bet your sweet booty I will fight for it. Dad works a lot of late nights and gets to spend one full day home once a week. Because Daddy is always busy not that I mind, I spent a lot of time growing up with Mom learning to cook and bake. I only bake when I am upset because when I bake, I bake for an army. Mom swears I couldn’t do a small batch to save my life, and she would be right I have tried so many times to make small batches, just enough for us, but no, my small batches turn into a huge batch, enough to feed half the pack with just one thing, when I bake I bake multiple items. My specialties are Cakes, cupcakes, cookies and brownies. Monday Morning I am getting ready for school, just another day, everyone was summoned to the pack house for Friday Night, most people do not know what it is about. I shrug it off, its Monday i have a lot to do this week, its time for all college applications to be sent out, I have them done, but i need to look over them and make sure they still apply I wrote them last year. I can't wait to get out and go to college 4 years of freedom, no answering to the pack, you most likely won't see most of them, everyone has a place in mind, and most want to go to sunny California, but not me! I need to go to Storm Coast University its where mom and dad went. Mom use to tell me stories about her time there, they have amazing programs, but most importantly that is where she met dad, the love of her life.  I got to school and met up with my friends Darion, Drew, Amanda, and Ria they're my rocks, today we had a math exam, I wasn't worried but we all knew Drew was, he was too busy with sports to study, that’s where we came in handy, we helped him crunch, and maybe cheat a little. Amanda was smart, she had a photogenic memory, Ria studied hard, but she was also into sports she just managed her time better, and Darion was just like Ria, he studied and played hard.  I asked Drew "When are you going to stop worrying about your reputation so much?! Seriously dude you hang with us!" I was honestly secretly tired of him always begging us to help him cheat because he totally forgot we had a test/exam/homework due today   Drew responds " Oh come on Rosetta, you know I have to keep it real, who has time for school? I’m training to be a warrior! you know I want to move up in ranks, one way to do that is to stay fit and keep a reputation!"  All three of us rolled our eyes at him, I know I am tired of it and won't be helping him cheat this time, continuing on the conversation with the others, "So guys are you prepared and ready for today?"  they all nodded there heads in unison "oh yeah! I’ve been preparing for a week!" says Ria, Darion nodded his head in agreeance, Amanda nodded "You know I am!" she never mentions studying we knew she didn't need to, and none of us wanted to remember just how smart she was. We were secretly jealous.  First bell rang, soon it was the end of the day. The rest of the week passed in a flash, soon it was time for the big whatever was going on at the packhouse, because we haven't been given much information I go for casual, a nice pale blue skirt and a spaghetti strap black shirt some nice, black heels and I opt for an updo. time for the make-up, I put on something simple just some nude eyeshadow, put on my signature winged liner, and simple mascara, I just use a shimmery lip gloss, looking at the time, its time to go, I hear mom yelling up the stairs, apparently Alyssa isn't downstairs ready to go either. Chuckling I grab my light shrug and head downstairs, my wolf is very on edge today, i have no clue why but she is excited to get to the pack house. Finally, 15 minutes later we are finally out of the house and on the way. The closer we get to the pack house, the crazier my wolf gets, I have been trying my best to tune her out, she is driving me crazy, I just want to get tonight over with already. Some of my classmates were planning a Tailgate party, and I could not wait to go! It was Friday night and we are about to go into a break, we needed to start the week off right! Looks like a few other families were just arriving now too. Breathe Rosetta, just breathe, what could be so bad on the other side of that door that Tess would be going so crazy  Mate, she said, he is here! Mate is here!  Internally rolling my eyes, oh shut up Tess! we have met every guy in this pack, he is not here! Alpha did not say that another pack would be here today, you must be mistaken. I knew I was fooling myself wolves always knew, and I could feel it too, she was right, but I would not give her the satisfaction of agreeing with her, she was already full of herself. Although I am sure when its proven that she is right it will be 10x worse, but I am too far in.  Taking a deep breathe I follow mother in, that is when I smell it. The smell was so intoxicating, he smelt like a campfire by the river filled with Orchids. I frantically looked around I could not see anyone out of the ordinary.    Landon’s POV I have been gone for the past several years making my fortune. I did not want to just inherit my fortune, I wanted to build my life up. No, I needed to! My old man always said I was not good enough and that he never wanted to step down from his Alpha duties. I joined The Madhollow Ghosts right out of high school, I was the star quarterback, I was built and I knew I was a catch, but unlike the other men on my team I was not interested in a fling, I wanted my mate, we went around the world playing other packs, I was always on the lookout for my future Luna but I never found her. Crushed i decided it was time to return home. Everyone saw me as a cocky boy who grew up getting everything and anything he wanted. They were right, I am I know my worth and I will never apologize for being me, I am who I am, I was raised this way, I was raised to be ruthless and unapologetic. My eyes were cold, I’ve seen so much fighting, and torture it wasn't even funny, Rogues didn't come around after the last one, I was proud of that, we didn't get any attacks anymore, we were one of the most feared packs in all of Canada and the United States, we had allies all around the world, tonight was the night that Father would be re-introducing me to the pack, I told him it was unnecessary I didn't want this, he knew the next time I was to be re-introduced was the day I took over the pack! Looking at the clock, i realize its almost time for people to arrive so I jump in the shower, one of the many habits i have from my football days. Finishing the shower, I jump out and grab my Suit, it is a simple, yet elegant Black suit I grab my baby blue tie and quickly tie it, suddenly, my wolf goes nuts. I could not believe it, could it be! what I have been looking for has been here the whole time! But why has my wolf never sensed her before? Quickly ripping open the bedroom door her smell hits me, she smells like sunflowers and rainy days. it was intoxicating, I follow my nose as far as I could before getting stopped by my father, my wolf (Aspen)  was going crazy, he wanted to rip my father's head off for stopping us, and I almost let him.  Father drowned on and on, I mostly ignored him, and I could tell she was too, her eyes were on me, and only me. Finally, father finished, and I jumped off the stage and ran to her, and she started running at me to. Rosetta’s POV I had not heard a word that Alpha said after I saw him, Landon. He is beautiful, he looks like a god, and he is my mate. I did not have a doubt in my mind the second I saw him. I knew he was made for me. Thank the goddess that my mate was here, I did not want to have to travel to other packs to find him, although I would not have minded going to college first. Why did he look so familiar? I know its not from around the pack house, but where have I seen him before. Soon but not soon enough the speeches were done, and he was running off the stage and I ran right at him as well. Finally, out of my own head as we met in the middle I jumped into his arms, and he pulled me close kissing me with such passion. Everything fell into place, the world faded, it was just me and him. The kiss was passionate and possessive, we both fought for dominance. Tongues dancing, he won, naturally, finally we pulled away for a breath, panting he let me down. That may have been my first kiss, but it was the most amazing kiss that I am sure has ever happened. “Hi” I said shyly, as if we had not just been minutes away from having s*x if we had not pulled away for a breath, “Hi” He said in his deep, beautiful voice, oh my goddess, he sounded like a god, I was wet, he turned me on, and he did not have to do anything but be himself. Although on the other hand I could feel his hard-on. “I’m Rosetta” I said smiling up at him, he was probably about 6‘6 and I was only 5’4, everyone called me a runt because I was so small, but I could hold my own. “Landon” He said dreamily “What a beautiful name, Rosetta” he repeated, and I loved the sound of my name coming out of his mouth. “Nice to meet you Landon” I said, still only focused on him, I had not even noticed the Alpha coming up to us until he cleared his throat making me jump. “Landon, we need to speak…. In private” the Alpha said. I hid behind Nico not ashamed of the scene we made, but scared of the Alpha, he was not known to be a forgiving man. He always scared me; his reputation proceeds him. “Father” Nico said through gritted teeth, “I’m kind of busy now!” He said with a glare on his face, wait… Father?! He is the Alphas’ son! Oh, my breath Rosetta, Breath its going to be okay, its okay, oh no, oh no! What do I do, I could not run for it, Nico had his hand intertwined with my own, he could stop me the second I tried, he was defiantly stronger than I, he does have Alpha blood in his veins.   Landon’s POV I felt her freeze and stiffen right up when father spoke, why is she so afraid of him, what has been going on in the last 12 years, a pack should never be afraid of their Alpha! Other packs yes but never your own. Father kept insisting so I rolled my eyes and finally agreed to it, looking back and apologizing, promising I would be right back and giving her a soft kiss before following father to the office. “What is it Father” I said not trying to hide my annoyance, letting out a growl, “Don’t growl at me boy! I am still your father! What was that scene you just pulled?! And with a underage Teen at that?” I was shocked, I had not even thought about how old she might be, I just knew she was the one for me. She was made for me to love and hold, she was my perfect half. “What?” I asked confused. “She is my Mate, Father…” I replied so confused. “Underage! She is only 17” He almost yelled at me, “It does not matter father, I love her, she is my mate, and the new Luna of this pack!” I stated, leaving no room for questions or any other statements. I turned and left the room; I was on the hunt for my perfect Rosetta. Rosetta, I hope that she is okay with everything, I hope that we can resolve whatever my father has done to intimidate the pack, I do not want to rule that way. I believe the pack should be family, they should want to defend us, and help us, it leaves less room for them to turn on us. So many questions in my head, I just hope she will be honest with me and answer my questions, worst case I can ask my Beta. I finally found Rose, she was surrounded by kids her age I assume, there was 2 boys and 1 girl, my wolf growled, and I did too. Who are they Landon? Get rid of them! I do not like them near our girl! Aspen growled at me, and I growled in return I know Aspen! I do not like it either, but we can not just come in and tell her who she can and can not hang out with, not right off the bat anyways, we need to mark her first. We can not risk her rejecting us. At the mention of her possibly rejecting us Aspen growled at me, and began pacing, I am sure I was glaring at these boys as I approach them, she’s giggling, that is music to my ears, but she should only be giggling for me. Not other boys, “Go!” I demanded at them, she looked up shocked at my sudden arrival, “Nico!” She said, Nico? I like the sound of that, but only for her. “Be Nice! These are my friends, this is Darion, Drew, Amanda and Ria” she said pointing at each of them, I didn’t care. I only cared that they were still there I only wanted her to myself she was mine. Mine to please, mine to spoil and mine to do whatever my heart desired. I barely knew this girl but I loved her with all my heart. “Lets go somewhere private” I whispered into her ear making her shiver. I internally smiled that I had that affect on her. “Okay, one second” She whispered back to me. I didn’t like that answer but I accepted it, I had to I knew I would give this girl the world if she asked me to. She turned to her friends and smiled “ If you’ll excuse me, I will meet you at the party later” She said with a wave we walked away. Party?! Oh I do not think so, I didn’t say anything yet, I did not want her to get mad and storm of with them. I had to wait until they left to tell her she was NOT going. In fact she will move into the pack house with me immediately and forget her studies all together, She wont need school to be my Luna. Rosetta’s POV I could not believe him coming and talking to my friends like that. Who does he think he is? He is not my father and even if he was my father would never talk to my friends like that. Rolling my eyes I said good-bye to my friends, my wolf was going crazy she wanted to be with him just as bad as he did. Like obviously so did I but he was rude to them, I would change that and fast. Or so I thought I would… Boy was I wrong to think that. The news I got next blew my mind, and it as not up for debate.
