CHAPTER 6
The next week was busy for the girls and the guys. They were all getting close to being ready to open. Katie had taken time to go with Sam to meet David’s family. She was well received especially since she had taken the girls some new grooming kits and ribbons for their ponies. Babs and Sissy loved weaving the ribbons into the manes and tails of their ponies. The visit went really well and Katie was glad she had made contact with all of her brothers.
They had finished furnishing their new place, even the basement storm shelter. The basement had a bathroom in it and they had added a small refrigerator, a couple of couches, a table, and a battery-operated weather radio. There was a locked door connecting it to the basement next door, just as there was in the apartment upstairs.
