The girls left the restaurant and went by the realty office to return the key to the store they were hoping to buy. Marian looked up when they entered and smiled at them.
“I was just about to call you,” she said to Katie. “Your offer on the building has been accepted.”
Bambi and Star bumped hands excitedly. Katie looked at them and smiled. She looked back at Marian and smiled. “What do we do now?” she asked.
“We have paperwork to fill out and a mortgage to arrange,” said Marian.
“I’m paying cash. I won’t need a mortgage,” replied Katie. “We also are looking for a rental place for Star and Bambi.”
“I can help you with that. We have several good rentals on our books. First, let’s take care of the paperwork on your new coffee shop and bakery,” said Marian.
