CHAPTER 3
The girls had just started to get the paint ready when they heard a call from downstairs. Katie went to the door of her apartment, which they had left open and looked downstairs.
“We’re up here,” she called. Her brothers, Thomas and Sampson, came into view at the bottom of the stairs. Katie smiled at them as they climbed the stairs. She gave first Thomas and then Sam a hug.
“Hi,” what are you guys doing here?” she asked.
“Mom told us about you wanting to open a coffee shop. We thought we would see if we could help clean up,” said Thomas.
Katie led the way into her apartment, where Star and Bambi were just starting to get ready to begin painting.
“These are my friends, Star and Bambi. These are my brothers, Thomas and Sam,” said Katie as she motioned to each one of the guys
