CHAPTER 4
Carlos sat at the bar with his friends. They were nursing beers and talking and joking with each other. Bruce noticed Carlos being distracted. He followed the way Carlos was watching the girls and guys leave.
“Do you know them?” asked Bruce.
“The guys are two of the McCray brothers. I don’t know the girls, but I think one of them is a McCray. She’s the girl I saw in the mirror,” said Carlos.
“They are opening a coffee shop and bakery next door to our gym,” said Joey.
Carlos looked at him, startled. “How do you know?” asked Carlos.
“I talked to Bambi earlier. She told me,” said Joey. “They are the ones who pushed the couch out of the window.”
