Chapter 5: The Realization

449 Words
Vichy’s mind went cold, while her heart boiled. But Sherly continued to spread salt on her wound. “I forgot to tell you. In fact, I found someone else with the right bone marrow a few days ago.” She slapped Sherly’s face. Sherly looked up at her incredulously. “How dare you hit me?” The slap made half of Sherly's face swollen. Suppressing the desire to scream, Sherly was looking at her with anger. Even Vichy’s body was uncontrollable to tremble, her momentum was strong and fierce. “Yes!” yelled Vichy. “You are not afraid to be seen by Gim and have him hate you?”  “Afraid? What should I be afraid of now?” whispered Sherly. Hearing this, Vichy suddenly laughed and flicked away Sherly’s raised palm. Sherly nearly fell down because of the strength of Vichy. “Do you really think that Gim will still support you? Don't dream any more, your evil will show...” Sherly lowered her voice, spitting ferocious insults at Vichy. Before she could speak more, the words stuck in her throat. Vichy lifted her phone, her pale face glowing in the eerie light of the screen. “What if he hears of this?” Her voice was calm and clear, almost pleasant. Sherly said angrily: “Are you threatening me?” “This is not a threat.” Vichy smiled. “It is far from what I want you to experience. I am just letting you know who you are dealing with.” After that, she turned and walked confidently outside. She never wanted to interrogate anyone, nor did she want to ask for justice. She just wanted people to pay for what they had done to her! . . . “Miss Lynn, are you okay?” The people outside came in in a hurry. Sherly fell down on the ground. “Get out, leave me alone!” Sherly curled up her body and forced herself to calm down. “Miss Lynn, what happened to your face? I will call in Mr. Hall right now,” the servant asked nervously. After all, if it was discovered by Mr. Hall, he would blame them and they could not afford the result. “No, nothing happened!” After the sudden shout, Sherly lifted herself up. She took a deep breath and said: “Don't tell him, I was careless just now.” She didn’t know if Vichy had taken the recording, or whether she would do anything with them, but there was nothing she could do to stop it if it were true. She could only keep silent.
