"You know, I'm really happy to see you settling in now. I would have sworn you would want to run away after the first hard days," Sage states as we walk together back to the arena.
I chuckle softly knowing what she means.
"Hard but easier being around people who are different like me. At least I don't feel like I'm cursed and I have people who have my back." I add after a moment, "At least now I feel like I'm living for the first time in my life."
"Oh yeah, you do. I should have saved a pic for you on your first day here, just for the memories."
"Shut up!" I shove her aside but we both laugh freely. "I don't think I want to go back there."
