The following day, I wake up early to prepare for classes but immediately after breakfast, an emergency meeting is called in the school hall. Roman didn't show this morning, and neither did Tucker. I wonder where they are.
My heart pounds as I join the rest of the students. Emergency meetings are rare. In fact there hasn't been one since I came to this school and something tells me there's something wrong. Alistair, Brooke, Cali, and some of the other teachers are already waiting but still, Roman is not around.
I join Sage in the crowd and sit down.
"Hey, have you seen Tucker?" I ask in a whisper.
"No, not since yesterday. I wanted to ask you if you have seen Roman actually."
