I'm surprised Alistair would even take me to Wren. She seems changed because she doesn't even scold me for leaving the school without saying or following my father carelessly. Maybe she is just feeling guilty for all the lies she has been feeding me or maybe it's just entirely about Wren's safety.
I sit in front with her while Tucker takes the backseat. Whenever Alistair is involved, he likes to keep his distance. I can feel her watching me once in a while, notice her looking at me out of the corner of my eye but I don't pay attention to her. I know she probably wants to start a conversation but I'm not sure I want to talk about anything— especially if it's something to do with everything that happened back at the house.
