"Sage!" I call out more loudly in panic trying to shake her out of her state. Sage stares blankly into one spot, completely still as if she is dead. I only know she is not because I hear her heartbeat picking up rhythm. It's beating hard and fast which means ashe must be scared.
"I will get you out of there safely, I promise you," I whisper leaning close to her body.
The witch laughs, "You think you can do that? You friend here is enjoying a nap and she will be in that state for as long as I want. Neither you or your other little friends are going to do anything.
