Everyone unloaded back at the compound, and Ava greeted them on the front porch of the main house.
“Nancy, Angela, girls, what are you doing here? I’m so glad to see you all safe and sound,” Ava said as she ushered the women inside.
Ava and Terrell were left standing in front of each other as the door shut behind the women. They held each other’s gazes for several minutes.
