“Alright, Terrell, you want to fill me in on what’s going on,” Ava said as she threw down the dish towel she had been cleaning with while closing the café.
“You got the hang of using your mate bond pretty quick, I see,” Terrell responded.
“I honestly don’t think it would have even taken the mate bond to figure out you’re being weird today. You haven’t left the café. You’ve barely left my side all day. Tell me what you really think about the break in this morning.”
“Come here. I want to show you some footage.”
Ava made her way around the counter and over to the booth Terrell had occupied the entire day. She slid in next to him and focused on the laptop. Terrell’s hand slid up her leg and she could feel his eyes on her.
