Ava said goodbye to the sketch artist and then turned around to face Terrell. It hadn’t been as bad as what Ava had thought. The guy had been nice, funny even, and she had Terrell next to her the entire time. He made anything possible.
“I hope that helps them catch the guy.”
“Me too. Even though I can’t help but hope I get my hands on him first,” Terrell said.
“You’re so blood thirsty,” she said, only half joking.
“Just when it comes to you. Otherwise, I’m perfectly normal.”
“I’m going to go in the back and do some baking. Are you going to stick around here again today?”
“If you’re here, I’m here,” Terrell confirmed.
“Okay. That has to be pretty boring for you.”
