“How can that be?”
“So you know what that means, then?”
“I remember the girls talking about it. They were all hoping they’d end up being someone’s mate. That’s why they went to the shifter bars as much as they did.”

Terrell didn’t say anything, but as his eyes bore into hers she understood why. As much as she had initially wanted them dead at first, she had come to peace with her past. Now that she had Terrell in her life, there didn’t seem to be any reason to look back.
