Elena's Point Of View
"Isn't this fantastic? The woman who's responsible for Harrison Watts' de-th at my disposal!" I smirked devilishly, tracing the kn-fe onto her arm "You know, I should hunt the people who hired you and k-ll them all." I hummed, st-bbing her hand and making her scream in pain.
"The b-llet wasn't meant for Harrison Watts, It was for you!" she groaned "You don't deserve to lead the United Kingdom Ma-ia!" she spat "That assh-le loved you too much and look where that got him." she added with a smug smirk
"Why? Because I don't have a big c-ck between my legs?" I scoffed, pulling the kn-fe out of her hand and st-bbing her sides next and pulled her closer to me as she screamed once again but chuckled darkly
"He has his own secret that he doesn't want you to know.... So much for marrying someone you claim to know like an open book!" she spat then smirked
Harry doesn't keep secrets from me, this b-tch is just messing with my head
"I don't believe the sh-t that comes out of your mouth!" I growled, twisting the kn-fe deeper, making her scream in pain louder
"You will never be fit to be the undisputed leader of the United Kingdom Ma-ia!" She spat with a groan
"I can lead this Mafia better than any pr-ck that The Council sends to replace me" I spat back, punching her hard to knock her out
"Elena? Your father called, you need to go home urgently" Clive, my right hand man says as he held my phone and my coat
I cracked my knuckles and grabbed my phone "Make sure she doesn't escape Clive, I want her to suffer a slow and painful de-th." I looked back at the b-tch who killed my fiancè as I wore my coat and drove to my father's mansion.
---
"You needed something dad? I was a little busy" I said, removing my coat and sat down on the couch as my father looked at our family portrait on the wall.
"The Council is questioning your rule sweetheart, they don't know if you are fit to rule the United Kingdom Ma-ia." he turned to me "You should marry a powerful man of-" I cut him off
"We've been through this before dad! I don't want an arranged marriage! I can rule the ma-ia just like our ancestors did, man or woman!" I sighed in frustration and plopped onto the couch.
"I know that Ellie... But without a powerful man by your side, The Council will do everything to unseat you from power. The only representatives that want you there are your grandparents and Declan" he sat next to me and caressed my cheek.
I don't want to be a ma-ia boss' typical wife, the one who hides behind her husband for protection and fear of being hurt and mistreated by their own husband out of anger and sometimes even for some sick and twisted kind of pleasure.
But I understand my father's point completely, I can be easily overthrown by the other Chapters because they've been in the business longer than I have and a woman is never fit to be a mafia boss in their eyes anyway.
"Alright" I sighed "Who do you have in mind?" I asked reluctantly.
"The most powerful man in the Sicilian Ma-ia" he began "Don Mateo Vitale" he stood up and faced me.
"He is a powerful man and I've done business with his team a couple of years ago, yet I've never seen him in person." I mused "But how can you be sure that he's going to agree with this marriage? His wife was killed four years ago and I doubt he will give a damn about marriage or even our rules here if he accepts our proposal." I reasoned.
"A man like him needs an heir to keep his legacy alive, you need a husband that's powerful enough to secure your place as the undisputedvleader of the United Kingdom Ma-ia." he stated "It's a win-win situation for both of you." he states "Which is why he will be arriving here in a few weeks to meet you and he'll stay with us here to hear about your engagement proposal." he added, pouring two glasses of scotch and handing one to me.
I took a sip of my scotch and nodded "I'll do my best to impress him but I can't promise that I'll instantly bow down to him and suck his d-ck." I warned
My father chuckled and shook his head "I don't expect you to, my darling." he clinked his glass on mine before he drank his own scotch.

*The day before, inside Mateo Vitale's personal gym in his villa in Sicily*
Mateo's Point Of View
I kept punching the bag in front of me, as if it was the face of the man who ordered the murder of Lucia and my unborn child.
Gabriel Achille... the Don of the Tuscano Ma-ia
"If you punch any harder, the bag will come off." my uncle stated amusingly as he entered the gym
"I had a problem with Severino's men who oversees the weapons deal with the Romanos" I threw one last punch that was hard enough to knock the bag off from it's chains "It's like they don't know who is Don here." I scowled, wiping my face with a clean towel. "And to cap things off, my nonna is wondering when can I give her a great grandchild" I sighed in frustration. (nonna- grandmother in Italian)
"Luckily for you, I have a solution for both of your problems." Uncle Domenico says with a grin "Benjamin Kingsley reached out to me earlier this week. Says he wants to arrange a marriage between you and his only daughter, the new undisputed leader of the United Kingdom Ma-ia."
"Why would I want to work with the United Kingdom Mafia? It was Ben Kingsley who rejected my father's proposal of a possible merger when he was alive" I raised my eyebrows skeptically "If he was smart enough, he should've accepted the merger long ago and I would've been married to his daughter by now" I added
"Si, but you're not my brother's oldest son and the girl was only a child, and that was one of the reasons why he rejected your father's proposal." he reminded
"What can this marriage possibly offer me?" I asked
"Elena Kingsley is a strong woman, she's a good business partner and ally as we have done a few businesses with her a few years ago. She's your equal and she knows what it's like to be in charge and she's a woman of her word." he says "She can also give Mamma what she asks of you. An heir to keep the Vitale legacy alive." he places a hand on my shoulder "It has been four years, piccolo. I understand your pain more than anything but Lucia would've wanted you to be happy. It won't hurt to try to get something good out of this marriage." he sighed and gave me a fatherly smile
As much as I hated the idea of marrying someone else and replacing Lucia, I needed allies to keep my subjects in line and an heir to keep my nonna happy. But I will not try to love my future bride... My heart died with Lucia and our bambina...
"Send a message to Benjamin Kingsley uncle, we'll be arriving in a few weeks to discuss the details of our merger." I said as stoically as possible.
He nodded "Ma certo, Don Mateo" he says, leaving the gym (transl: but of course, Don Mateo)
