Brandy was finally happy to escape the toxic environment of her family, she had hoped that giving them time and space will help their relationship but no....it was still the same. Brandy couldn't understand why everyone was so concerned about her love life, sure she was older than Brooke but she was only 24 years old so what's the big deal She was happy for her sister Brooke and the fact that she married someone who made her happy at 21 before she even graduated from college but that's for her and everyone cannot be the same What hurt her the most was the fact that her parents still showed their nasty favouritism towards Brooke up till now but she should have expected it after all that was how she grew up, it was even worse because they know Jeff has lost his job recently but how they got to know that, she couldn't possibly explain. She also did not expect the nasty comments her younger sister was making saying things like "you know if Jeff had come to our wedding, I would have introduced him to my husband and I'm sure he can find him a place in his company, I mean it wouldn't be easy but something small to start with, maybe in the security section....I know.... Jeff has been her boyfriend for eight years, he was one grade ahead of her in highschool and for her he was her endpoint she really thought they were heading to forever. He refused to propose telling her that he was already sure of their future... "well now I understand the future he ment" she muttered to herself " How could he do this to me, he practically blamed me for not trying enough, for not paying attention to him, He always had something to say about me, about my weight and diet nothing I ever did was good enough for him" she said to no one in the silence of the room She stood up and tore down the bed where the atrocious act occured and replaced all the beddings but the whole house was already irritating to her, she couldn't bring herself to look at her bed again, the same bed where she laid with him and built castles in the air, there's no way she can sleep in this bed tonight. Just then her phone rang and continued after she refused to pick it, she got irritated thinking it was Jeff and picked up angrily "Quit calling my phone" she yelled to the person at the other end "Okay tiger...chill, what did I do" only then did she realize that it was her best friend, Jade calling "Jade? I'm sorry...I'm so sorry I didn't check the caller ID" she apologized immediately " It's okay but now I need to know what happened, I told you not to go for that wedding cause I knew it was gonna mess you up but no, you said...." she recalled in a sarcastic tone " .....I couldn't possibly miss my own sister's wedding now see!! I'm pretty sure she had a lot to say to you" " That's the least of my worries Jade, can I please crash at your place I don't feel like sleeping in my house tonight" Worried, Jade asked " Why what happened, Jeff's not around, I thought he will be all over you by now considering you've been away the entire weekend" All she could say was " yes he's not around" "Okay then, you know your way around, I stepped out though but I'll be back soon" " Okay thanks.......
