CHAPTER #2

LUCY's POV

I CAN hear my car screeching when I turned on the next bend. After that encounter with Natsu and that freaking Lizard - I actually don't know what to do or think; it was so humiliating and I was too hurt by his words. So I came up with the idea to buy something for me... you know...

Stress eating.

When I was a child I dream to have my own happy ending just like what I've watched in Disney movies. I had been reading lots of romance books, and I even listen to my relatives how they find their own the 'one'. I imagined how their life is written in paper with black and white suddenly get splashed on by the beauty of colors just because they found the right person that will bring their reality to vibrancy.

But right now, thinking about it... it was so disappointing that what I watched in Disney movies is not the same in reality. I was foolish to think that I could easily get what I really wanted.

I can see the parking lot of our house but just like what he had said to me before, I shouldn't park right in front of our house. So I continue my speed I exited the paved road and drive through the rough path towards on my 'own' parking space.

Without wasting another second, I exited the car while holding my purchases in my arms. Not just those I bought at the convenience store but also the things I purchase for today's celebration.

"I shouldn't give my hopes to high." I murmur as I made my way inside the house.

The moment I entered our house - I decided to cook my favorite white spaghetti as I let my favorite song played that echoes in the entire house. After I've finished everything I set up the table just like how I planned it before - though it wasn't exactly what happened in my imagination I decided to enjoy what I had cooked for myself.

I look on my side where I can see the picture of Lisanna smiling. That place... it should be our wedding picture that posted there.

I sighed and continue looking up to that picture. As always, when I looked at that picture, its like everything that happened in the past flashes before my eyes.

LISANNA and I were practically late for our first subject today. "Should we start running right now?" Lisanna said.

I was about to say something when all of a sudden - I was knocked down when a powerful force hit my face. Lisanna on the other side was freaking out because of what happened to me. "Are you okay? Do I need to bring you to the hospital?" Lisanna asked.

I wanted to tell her that I was fine but the pain still stuck in my face making it hard for me to lie to her. "Hey! Are you guys okay?" we both hear someone shout on the direction where that ball came from.

"My best friend is not okay." Lisanna yells as she tried to help me to get up but failed "Your brothers will surely kill me." Lisanna murmurs but she make sure that I can hear it clear.

I felt strong arms carefully wrapped in my waist as it helps me to get up. "I'm sorry. My teammate doesn't see the goal." he sincerely apologize to me.

The moment I saw his face, and the moment our eyes had met - I knew that moment he is the one for me. That I was done searching for my own knight - the knight, I was waiting for didn't come galloping with his white horse but instead he came into my life right after he knocked me down using the soccer ball.

"I am Natsu Dragneel," he said

It was you... who I was looking for.

Finally...

I am done searching for my own knights.

I smile bitterly as I tried to brush my tears away in my cheeks. "It always is you.." I whisper against the wind "Even after all these years... Natsu still thinking of you, I sacrifice everything... including my own dream just to make him happy like what you asked me to do," I clench my fist as I feel that my heart is being tortured by the same pain.

"Why it can't be me, Lisanna? Why it always be you?" I cried hoping that it will ease the pain inside my heart.

Hoping that it would make me feel better.

I FOCUS on what my photographer asked me to do. I was so tried for doing this for almost five hours but I don't have the energy to complain - this is what I asked for... if I wanted to forget what happened yesterday I should make myself busy. "Very good." the photographer said as he continues doing his job.

After for I don't know how long, we decided to have a break before we take a shot for the next outfit. Erza handed me water and I gladly took it "So? Are you going to say what happened yesterday?" Erza said.

I shook my head "I don't want to talk about," I murmur not wanting anyone to hear our conversation.

"Lucy when will you stop?" she asks me making me look up to her.

"What?"

"This?" she said "We both know that being a model is not part of your goal, before. This is not your goal but her." she said emphasizing the last word. "You have to live your own life, Lucy. Stop living like Lisanna is still here. She's dead."

TIME goes by and I found myself falling in love with him even more. Like, the time we spend getting to know each other makes me think about our future. "Lulu?" I heard Lisanna call me. I remove my eyes on my notebook and look to her smiling face "Is there something good that happened to you?" I asked.

Lisanna's smile and her eyes shine because of too much happiness that she felt "I confess to him..." I gave him a confused look "I confess my feelings toward him..."

"Him?"

"To Natsu Dragneel," she said smiling. What?

"W-What did he said? D-Did he gives you a response?" I ask trying my best not to cry. I couldn't imagine that this will happened in my entire life. It was like I was stuck in the cliche movies or a book.

"We are now officially dating, Lucy," she said happily.

My sentiment was cut off when I heard Kinana calling out my name. "Yes?" I said.

"Mr. Dragneel is here to see you, Ms. Heartfilia," Kinana said which makes my eyes grew wider in shock. I look on Erza's face and I saw her roll her eyes "What should I say to him? Should I bring him here?"

I was about to say something when Erza spoke for me "Just let him wait for the lobby area, Lucy will be there in a few minutes." hesitantly, Kinana nods her head as she excuses herself to attend her job. Erza cup my face and made me look to her "If he did something bad to you inside my premises. I will surely make him follow his dead girlfriend."

"Erza stops being overprotected. He won't hurt me."

"He won't hurt you because he had hurt you." she said making me bit my lower lips "Stop protecting him and start protecting yourself, your heart. Don't let him break this to you." she said so I nod. There's no reason to argue with her if our topic is Natsu. I will surely lose it.

I sigh, as soon as I reach the lobby area "Natsu?" I call out his name the moment I reach his place. His eyes traveled in my entire being he looks in my eyes coldly. "Is there something wrong?"

"I was just checking if you are here," he said.

"And?"

He opens his mouth to say something but Erza came "Lucy, you should check this..." she said smiling.

"With all due respect, Ms. Scarlet. We are both talking about something personal." Natsu said Erza look on his face and then roll her eyes like she doesn't want to waste any energy to talk with this guy in front of her.

"He's back." I frown on what Erza said I was so confused...

"Who?" Erza was about to say something when I heard that familiar voice calling out my name. I slowly move my head over my shoulder to look for the source of that voice and to my surprise...

"Y-You..." I inhale trying to control my emotion that trying to suppress in me.

"Princess" he greets me with his loving smile.

My protector is back...

"Zeref" my eyes clouded with tears as I run thru his arms. "I miss you so much..."
