"Ready... "
They smiled and held hands stepping into the magnificent building.
Rebecca breathe in as they entered the second elevator which is almost full.
"The candidates are to gather for their numbers right now! " The announcement came and they began running towards the waiting room.
It look roughly twenty minutes for all the candidates numbers to be distributed and Rebecca was the sixth while Britney the second.
It took only five minutes before Rebecca came out clasping her palms together and praying silently. Though the interview was quite simple, she still felt nervous.
After an hour, the results were posted and they all rushed to the board to check almost falling themselves.
Rebecca and Britney scanned hastily for their names but couldn't find it. Rebecca eyes widened when she saw hers, it was sitting at the top of the list! That means she got the Personal Assistant post.
Britney scanned for hers too and she is number five on the list. She got in the financial team.
"Yes! Finally! " They screamed jumping and hugging each other. Others stared at them jealously while the others that weren't on the list cursed silently. But they cared less.
Britney broke the hug sharply.
"The baby! "She whispered
"Don't engage in heavy task" She continued ,holding Rebecca's hands and walking out of the room.
"Yes ma'am " Rebecca smiled.
"Miss Rebecca Rodriguez? " Someone said from behind and she faced him sharply with a quick bow.
"Come with me ,please " He continued and Rebecca gave britney a nod while she followed him.
"All newbies to the orientation room!" The speaker announced and Britney found her way.
As Rebecca walked behind the man, she could not help but recall where she had seen him. She shook her head and waved off the thoughts.
"Wait inside ,I have a quick lecture to give you" He said when they got to the entrance of the CEO's office.
"Sure" She smiled and went in. She closed the door behind her and her eyes almost poooed oit of its socket when she saw the interior of the office.
She walked to the desk touching the name on the golden slate.
Noah Banks.
The door opened and she turned taking her hands off the slate and turning sharply.
"I'm....
The words got hanged in her throat when Noah came in with the man from earlier. Her eyes widened insanely.

Noah stopped on his tracls,his eyes came wide too as he continued staring shockingly by the door. Noah lifted his eyes from her legs to her face .
"Leave us ,Jasper" He finally talked and Jasper exited the office. He walked to her maintaining the eye contact. She kept looking into his ocean blue eyes and immediately he stopped in fromt of her.
"How is my baby doing?" He asked placing his hands on her slightly protruded stomach not noticeable unless when close and he could swear he felt something move.
She instantly hit his hand off her stomach glaring at him dangerously. She kept biting her lips to hold back her tears as she stared at him. Noah returned the stare ,so she sniffed.
Noah took another step closer but she stepped back immediately wiping the tears that finally fell,then she started walking out of the office.
"I searched everywhere" He suudenly said and she stopped.
"I am not ready for that. I look forward to working with you" She said finally walking out.
Remembering the words he said to her that month,he imagined how it would have hurt. He clearly saw it in her eyes earlier.
The truth is that he knew every detail of that night like the back of his palm.
He was not in the right frame of mind when he said those things and ever since then, he had been searching every nook and cranny for her but no one knew her.
He held his head and slumped on his chair breathing heavily.
Rebecaa rushed into the restroom immediately she left the office. She rested her back on the door and began crying hotly. She then remembered where she had seen Jasper. At the coffee shop!
She resumed her tears but then she stood up when she heard footsteps.
"Rebecca....Are you in there?" Britney's voice called from outside.
"Coming!" She replied wiping her tears and rushing out the restroom.
" The orientation is starting now, are you good?" Britney asked and she smiled.

Rebecca came out of the locker room dressed in a white shirt which has Noah holdings written at the side and a short black tennis skirt and white sneakers, all provided by the company.
She made sure to pick out a very big shirt that could fit in three persons.
As she walked down the hallway, she met eyes feeding on her as if they could be at her up.
*She looks pretty in her outfit
*Is she single
*She would be so delicious
*I already hate her
Rebecca walked faster ignoring them. She entered the hall was smiled when she saw Britney waving at her. She walked to her and sat down on the chair Britney had kept for her.
The speech was given by the head of staff, Jasper. He encouraged the new staff to be consistent and dedicated to their jobs and also obey the rules and regulations.
His speech ended after ten minutes and he left the stage amidst claps to sit in the front row beside Noah. They saw Noah whisper to Jasper and he stood up climbing the stage again.

"You do not have to consider people's opinions in your own situation. You'll be good, I promise " Britney shook her again.
" Fine! " she chuckled and stood up walking towards the stage. The staffs began clapping and it didn't stop till she got to the stage.
Jasper handed her the mic and she could see the 'what do you think you are doing 'stare from Noah, she closed her eyes immediately.
The beats started playing and she took off matching with the slow and tender beats.

All eyes were focused in her as she got them thrilled with her voice. Noah stared at her without blinking. He surely can't wait for working hours to be over so they would talk.
The room became hot and Noah began sweating, just him. He adjusted in his seat and couldn't even open his mouth as he stared.
"Are you okay boss? " Jasper asked staring at him weirdly. He nodded and Jasper focused back on the stage.

Noah uncapped a bottle water and began drinking from it,his eyes still on the stage.

And that was it. Noah choked on the water immediately and it splashed out of his mouth as he began coughing.
