Jewel's POV
"Enough! Let us get to the bottom of this mess now!" My alpha voice booming out of my mouth. I noticed it even made my brother flinch a little. How odd. You ok? I asked him in the mind link.
Yeah, all good. His words quick, like it, was no big deal.
"Lobos, the succubus, and that cat today both implied it was him who tried or threaten to kill me." I started, I was walking closer. Tau had left the body where he dropped it to walk with me. He placed a hand on the small of my back while we had walked. The shock waves gave me a sense of confidence unlike any that I had before.
"Are you saying that he needs to be removed?" Emiliano Sosa asked as the other head families members stepped into a semi-circle in front of me.
"I am." I was not backing down. I had the power to do this. "He is older than any other head, why hasn't his heir or any of his other family taken over?" I looked at all of them.
"The heir he had was injured, and the others have lost their parents and are too young." Thiago Loria spoke while thinking deeply.
"What about his own kids?" I threw the question out there.
"His daughter ran away. We have no idea where she could be." Emiliano Sosa defended.
"His son was killed in a rogue attack several years after his daughter's disappearance. His mate, died after his son died." Sául Coto spoke, his own voice realizing as he spoke of how many people had died.
"Cuántos personas mató ese gato por ti?" (How many people did that cat kill for you?) Andrés Chen spoke up.
"¿Qué pasa si es ella la que los mató?" (What if it was her that killed them?)
Samuel Avalos spat.
"¿Cómo pude haberlos matado? ¡Todavía no tenía 18 años!" (How could I have killed them? I wasn't even 18 years old yet!) I snapped back in Spanish making everyone looked surprised. I had released my Spanish like a pro. These guys were getting really slow on the uptake.
"Then what is the explanation to all this!" Shout Gabriel Barboza.
"He killed his own family to stay in power of it." My brother grunted. He could see the idiots forming And must have been tired of it.
"How else would the text in the library change. Did you know they had found documents to change it?" I countered everyone there.
There was dead silence before most of them including a few who were against said no. Emiliano Sosa was the only one who thing his head lower. He was older and seemed to always back Lobos up.
They looked back at Lobos. "Calvo put Lobos in the cells until we can get this sorted out." Samuel Avalos spoke with a grim voice.
Gael's men went to Athens who happily dropped Lobos in the dirt. Lobos leaped up, his wolf instant, showing his greyed muzzle as he lunged straight for me.
Cocoa cream arms reached out past me to stop the old wolf and hold him dangling like A pup from his scruff. "Bad form old man," Tau growled behind me. I could feel the vibration of his chest making my body quake in some type of eagerness I have never felt.
"I will take him," Hawk stepped forward, taking the old man's scruff. "Guards show me the way." He growled when no one moved.
"Gael follow my brother please." I jerked my head in the direction my brother, Lobos, and the guards went.
He was silent, bowing only his head as he eyed Tau and me closely. I could feel the aggression rolling of Tau in waves. "Athens are you healed?" Remembering he was shot with an arrow.
"All good," he winked looking between Tau and me.
"I think, we need to run an investigation into everything associated with Lobos." I looked back at the family heads. I would ask and gather the information we will have a formal hearing in the throne room in a week." This seemed a fair way to do things.
"I agree," Samuel Avalos. "I will gather old and new scribes who work for the library so that we can discuss current changes to the law." He looked at the rest of the heads of families.
"I will check into the deaths of family members and see who was accused." Sául Coto grunted.
"I will team up with Samuel," Andrés Chen said.
"I will team up with Sául," Santiago Levia announced.
"You others whatever resources, you can add to this investigation please do." I looked back at my team. They seemed to nod with Max taking the hint.
"We will help where we can in their investigation." He nodded with conviction.
"Good, it seems a lot needs to be done." I paused looked over my shoulder at I saw Tau watching everyone. He glanced down at me to wink silently. I felt pretty good with how this turned out.

Tau's POV

I was in my room just after my shower. When I heard the knock at my door. "Come in," I answered holding the tank I was just about to put on. Seeing it was Hawk, my stomach dropped was he going to have me find a different room?
"I need a word," I noticed he kept his words to the point. I knew they had said he was autistic but honestly I couldn't see it. I saw a silent man much like Mortou.
"The floor is yours," I put the tank on as I looked back at him to see what he had to say.
"You will be escorting Jewel tonight." He reached around the door to hand me a suit for the ball instead of my security black. I was a bit floored.
"Normally you escort her." I surprised myself by saying.
"That is true, but my mate needs my attention just as yours will need your strength." He laid the suit on the end of my bed.
"Who are you implying as my mate?" I was a bit shock by his wording and excited at the same time.
"My sister." You could tell he was 1000% sure.
"I won't know that till the second task," I questioned it because I didn't want to get hurt.
"You know, everyone else knows, and the universe is certain." He smirked. "Just be happy I didn't use a riddle." For the first time in my life, I heard Hawk, laugh at a joke he freely told. Holy crap was the world coming to an end? Maybe I needed to check.
"Um, you sure?" I gulped.
"I am just as sure now as when you asked about her first kiss," Hawk grunted. "I will take you to her when she is ready." He turned his big frame and walked out of my room. I looked at the suit. Holy s**t. This was happening. I really want this to be real.
