Jewel's POV
Tau came straight to me shortly after everyone stopped trying to fight him since he launched Gael 30 feet away. Tau picked me up and twirled me before setting me down with a grin.
"I want to challenge the Princess." A female voice said.
All of us turned around to find a young woman maybe a year or two older than me. She was a southern wolf and seemed to be part of the group Gael had brought.
"Sure," I shrugged stepping forward to the area Tau and Gael had fought.
"The amount of muscle you have with you tells me you will be easy to beat." She grinned. Her black hair was in a tight bun and her brown eyes were darker showing she was from here.
I didn't say a word. I just stretched a bit. "Begin!" Shouted Athens with a giggle.
I watched her closely, she seemed interested in what I could do. Nothing more. No malice in her face or movements. Just interest and what seemed to be curiosity.
She charged, I leaped up over her charge and landed behind her. She turned, her eyes widened a little in shock. Again she came at me. I spun and popped her in the back of the head. Again you could see she seemed stunned. I was just playing with her. Several times I could have knocked her out. "How About you bring in a couple more for this fight?" I shrugged looking at my nails.
"Ok!" She sounded excited. "Tommy, Virgil come on!" She waved her hands forward. They paused looking at Tau.
"Tau will not touch you." I sighed rolling my eyes. Both men can forward slowly. Both giving Tau a bunch of side-eye. Tau in turn just crossed his arms at his chest and smirked.
All three formed points of a triangle. One behind and to on each side. All three came at me at once. I leaped over her to have them run into each other. "How often do you train?" I raised a brow.
"Five days a week." The guy Tommy grinned.
"That is going to change." I groaned. This whole castle went to hell in a handbasket since the death of my father. He had monsters when he was alive. These were cute cuddly pups.
"We can beat you," Virgil puffed his chest.
"You wanna see you can't?" I asked rolling my eyes.
"Yes, Princess I would like to see you try." Tommy and Virgil both said together. The girl I noted smirked and placed her hand on her hip.
Yep, they asked for it. I launched at the speed Athens and I fought with, Tommy was down in one punch. Virgil managed to dodge the kick I sent his way. but the uppercut sent him on his back ten feet away. I knocked the girl's legs out landing on top of her as she fell. My fist raised to finish. "Done," I grunted and stood up.
"Guys!" Shouted the girl, the other 4 guys came charging at me. I took them down like I was plucking grapes. All of Gael's men, laid groaning or knocked out completely.
Gael was up and had watched me take out his last four men. "Your training will change," I growled at him. "These men are nowhere near what my father had!" Akasa growled through me. "This is a disgrace!" Turning to look at the other Southern wolves who showed up when Tau's fight had started. "Southern wolves are the embodiment of badass. These are pups compared to what used to be guarding this castle!" She growled harder. I was partial shifting as rage coursed through me. No matter how much of an asshole my biological dad was, he ran a tight ship.
I clamped my eyes closed, I hadn't realized I lost my temper. Tau's scent suddenly wrapped around me as his arms did. "Breathe princess," When he said princess it was sexy as hell. His accent made my insides jump. I kept my eyes closed and melted into his body.
My body shifted back, as I let the anger drain from me. "Athens!" I called when I was back to my normal.
"Yes, my Queen." He grinned so hard his eyes were sparkling.
"Let us show them what our training looks like." I turned to see everyone else from my group grinning like they were excited.
"You heard the Queen!" Athens started clapping his hands. Max and Mike squared off with my brother. The twins against Logan. Leon, against Pinky. Elder Braun Tiffany and Lory squaring off.
I looked at Tau, "Care to dance?" I raised a brow at him.
Tau smiled so big you could see his eyes wrinkle in the corners. "Would love to." He purred at me. We started fighting until he grabbed my wrist and spun me against his chest. A power wave like the one from the ranch on my birthday, passed through us. Everyone of our crew stopped.
"What was that?" Gael barked out. Looking at how my group stopped.
"Not a royal came through," Pinky said walking up next to Tau and me. She drew her sword, readying for a fight. The rest of my team came to me as well.
We waited quietly, as a man massive in his structure. Tattoos on his arms. Styled blonde hair, with a manicured beard, broke the tree line coming to us. Hawk and Tau flanked me as I walked out to meet him.
Getting closer I seen the man towered over me. "You are Jewel?" His deep voice grunted.
"I am." I watched him look over both my brother and Tau.
"Tvso said to give you a message." The man's deep voice reminded me of a monster's growl. "He says once they have healed he will come to wipe out the southern wolf filth. Every wolf and pup will die." He recited. I could see he did not like this message. It was in his eyes.
"You are not all dragon," Hawk asked him.
"I am a hybrid, one of the original. My family helped to create the southern wolves. He has my baby sister." There was disgust in his words.
"What do you have to do to claim her?" Tau asked.
"Take the Princess to them or bring information on how to break the ward here." He eyed Tau. "You did the ward didn't you."
"I did, the only way to break it is to have me die," Tau smirked. "Though in the same breath if I die casting a full ward no dragon will be able to set foot near Jewel."
"I see." The big blonde with the intimidating look lifted the corners of his lips. "I like you." He chuckled. "Jewel, you are Munoz clan?" His ice gaze landed back on me.
"I am," I nodded.
He inhaled deeply, "you are her brother?" He looked at Hawk.
"Yes," Hawk seemed curious, his words held not an emotion.
"They know the dragon borne is coming." He glanced behind him. You could see something was drawing his attention. "They are waiting for me to return." The man's shoulders fell.
"Tell them I am tasked with all 17 of their deaths. I am to wipe out the old, making way for the new." Tau spoke with conviction. "No point in hiding it. If it helps you get your, sister, you are welcome to come back." Tau wrapped a protective arm around my waist.
"Thank you." The giant man with tattoos turned to eye the people behind us. "You better train them well or they will die." His words were loud enough to reach the castle.
"What the f**k was that?" Gael's words are full of fear.
"It is called a threat." I turned to look at him. "Your team will train every day and all day just like my men." I snarled at him. I could see the fear making him nod his head quickly.
"You heard the lady! Back to work!" Athens yelled out.
My eyes looked up to see Tau watching him leave. "How long until they are healed?" I broke his stare, bringing those beautiful eyes to mine.
"6 months roughly." He answered. "You have a plan?"
"No plan yet, but gives us a chance to come up with one." I looked back to see everyone including Gael and his team falling into the training circuit. Now to get the family heads in the know. This Queen thing was beginning to suck a lot more than I thought it would.
