I duck out of my room and slip out of the school unnoticed - easy since Katie’s not home and no one is checking in on me.
I decide against shifting as I walk through the forest - I’m not in a huge rush and I’m still on school grounds so I’m not overly concerned for my safety.
I reach the north side of the school grounds and come to the barrier. When I step through it I can smell him instantly and my body hums.
