Oh sh*t it’s my dad. AGAIN. Not good.
“You better go” I say quickly to Travis seeing the rage in my dads eyes. He nods and vanishes. I turn and walk through the gates making sure to cross the barrier before my dad gets to me.
“SERIOUSLY JADE?! I’m so disappointed in you. Lying and sneaking out of class to go be with a vampire?? Not telling anyone where you are, not keeping a phone on you, and abandoning a car in a field!! All while your classmates are getting attacked?!? You could have been dead!!”
Ok laid out like that it doesn’t sound so great..
“You’re in huge trouble! You’ll be lucky if they don’t expel you! We have to go straight to the principals office, I hope you’re prepared to beg.”
I follow silently. How am I going to explain this to minimize the damage? Deep breaths.
