Understanding

Waking up Elizabeth looked at Alex.  He was tending to her pups, she heard him talking to them.  He was very attentive to the babies.  She couldn't understand him, they were not even his.  She cuddled into Jared and just observed Alex.  

He finally looked at her and his eyes went wide seeing her watching him.  "Sorry, I just talk to them so I don't feel so alone." He mumbled.

"You feel alone?"

"Yeah, I messed up with you, lost my pups, I am alone."  He said shrugging.

"You should come around to see the boys."

"When you remember, you will know that you don't want me around you or them."

"Why are you helping with the babies then?"

"For starters, I owe you both.  On top of that, we thought you wouldn't survive if something happened to your babies.  I couldn't allow you to be hurt anymore than you already have been."

"You can start coming over once a week for dinner.  Maybe we can work out something more."

"Really?"

"Yeah, I will let Jared know that I invited you."

"I really want to, but you don't remember what happened.  You will change your mind."

"You can come."

"Thank you.  Would you like to hold her?"  He said holding out Elsa.

"Yes"

He brought her to Elizabeth and carefully handed her over.  Elizabeth started nursing her and she eagerly attached to eat.

"Wow, she can eat,"  Elizabeth said laughing.

"Do you want Anna?"

"Sure"

She quickly attached and began eating.

"She is done,"  Elizabeth said handing Elsa over.  Alex soon brought Kristoff over.

Alex stared at her, he really wished they could have dinner together, then he could see his pups.  He just knew she would change her mind when she remembered.  It wasn't fair for him to take advantage of the situation.

"We are going to start the dinners tonight.  The boys will enjoy seeing you.

"I want to, but"

She cut him off, "Tonight"

"Yes, Alpha," he said his eyes wide.

"I am your Alpha and you are my Beta, start calling me Elizabeth."

"Are, Are you sure?"

"Yes"

"I am done," she said handing the pups over.  "I need to sleep some more."

"Of course." he nodded placing them back to bed.

"I am going back to the house today.  Could you help make that happen?"

"Absolutely."  

With that, she fell asleep.

Jared woke up sometime later.  He pulled her close and kissed her forehead.  "Morning beautiful."

"Good morning Jared,"  she said with a smile.  Crawling over him she kissed him, he wrapped his arms around her and held her while he deepened the kiss.

"You remember me,"  he said smiling.

"Yup," she said smiling.

"What are we going to do about him?"  He said motioning to Alex.

"I told him to come over once a week for dinner, we are going to try."

"Are you sure?"

"I don't want to remember that night.  He helped when we really needed him.  He is depressed, let's just try.  He has been helpful as of late."

"Ok, we can try it.  But the pups, they are mine."

"Yes, they are," she said nodding in agreement.

The Doctor entered a short time later.  "Alpha?"

"Yes,"  she immediately answered.

"You know who you are?"

She nodded.

"Do you remember everything?" he asked

"Almost everything."

"Are you still blocking the attack?"

"Yeah, I don't want to get that back"  she answered honestly.

He looked and both The Alpha and Beta were asleep.  "The pups are doing well, we had feeding tubes in them for a while but they have been out since before you woke up.  I would allow them to go home."

She nodded, "I am going home today."

"I would like to keep you."

"No," she answered shaking her head.  "I need to get back to my life."

"You can't trust him." He said looking at the Beta.  "I was here the night you were brought.  They killed you."

"I can not live the rest of my life in fear.  I won't.  I have my wolf now, I think I can handle it better if I was ever attacked again."

"Please be careful."  the doctor said looking concerned.  "I want you back here every day this week so I can check on you."

She nodded, "Ok"

"Bring the pups also, I want to see them, make sure they are safe."

"Agreed,"  she said smiling.  "Please take this out of my arm"

Laughing, "Take it easy.  We had to give you a lot of blood in the last few weeks.  I am just glad that you were so vigilant about donating.  We were able to use your blood, plus your pups each donated."

"What?  You took my pup's blood?"

"Yeah, we had to.  Pure Alpha blood is hard to find."

"We need more, we used all your supply."  she nodded.

Jared woke up, "Sorry doctor"

Smiling, "No problem Alpha, we are done."

"What?"  Jared asked

"She is going home today with the pups.  She will be back with them every day this week so I can check them."

Alex walked over, he had also woke up.  "I can bring them."

Jared looked at him, "We can figure it out."

Katie looked at them both, "First thing that is going to happen, you two are sleeping a full night uninterrupted."  

"I don't think I can sleep all night without checking on the pups," Alex said nervously scratching the back of his neck.

Jared looked at him, then to Elizabeth.  "He has been with me since this started, he has taken care of them by himself or with me every night."

"I know," she said nodding.  "Let's go home, I miss our pack."

Jared grabbed her clothes, handing them to her, picking her up, he carried her into the bathroom.  

Laughing, Jared, I probably could walk.

"No,"  he said shaking his head, placing her onto the countertop.  He slowly dressed her, it reminded her of leaving the hospital after her attack.  Only this time, he seemed to stare a lot longer.

She grabbed him, pulling him to her for a deep kiss as he lifted her pulling on her panties.  He froze.  He was not sure what to do.  Finally, he pulled her scantily clothed body to him deepening the kiss.

"Jared, I remember you.  I remember us."  She whispered into his ear

"You do?"  

"Yes," she said nodding, he was between her legs staring at her.  "I love you."

"I love you so much, I have missed you."  He said tears in his eyes.  "I was so worried, then when you didn't remember me, I thought you might leave me."  He was clutching her to his chest.  "Tell me you won't leave me," he said in barely a whisper.

"Jared, I would never leave you.  No matter what happens, you are stuck with me."  

"Let's get out of here."  He said pulling her dress over her head.

"I need a bra,"  she said looking at him.

"No, no you don't," he said grinning and shoving it into his pocket.  "View is better." He said picking her back up and nuzzling into her chest.

"Stop it, you are going to make me leak," she whispered as he carried her out of the room.

"I should feed the pups before we leave."

"See two buttons and they are eating.  Advantages to no bra"  He placed the pups and covered her with a nursing cape.

She laughed and shook her head, "I am still wearing bras.  Perv"

"Your Perv."

"That you are."  she continued laughing as she nursed the girls.  

Alex left the room and returned a short time later.  He had clothes for the pups and a stroller.  When he came back into the room he set them down next to Elizabeth.  She was just finishing feeding Kristoff.  She looked at the clothes and then at him.

"These are really nice, Thank You,"  Elizabeth said.

He smiled, "You're welcome."

"Here, she said handing Kristoff to him.  Could you dress him please?"

"Sure," he quickly got to work as Jared handed her Elsa and she started dressing her while Jared dressed Anna.

Once they had finished, Jared put them all in the stroller.  He looked at Elizabeth, "I am carrying you back." he said picking her up.  "Alex, are you ok with bringing the pups?"

"Of course,"  he said gathering the items they were sending them home with, including her medicine.

Jared started walking her back to the pack-house and Alex walked next to them pushing the pups.  As they approached the house many pack members were outside to welcome the new pups as were Jacob and Cory with the older pups.  Alex realized many were around but his eyes were locked on Xander and Xavier as he was walking towards the house.  He couldn't understand it but he felt a pull to the other pups as well.
