Episode Seven: Rejection

967 Words
Margaux POV “I, Gabriel Wilson, the future alpha of the Black Rose pack. Reject you, Margaux Knoxx, to be my mate and future Luna.” He said. My mate rejected me. Our mate rejected us? Antoinette asked sadly. I felt a tremendous pain in my chest and I clutched it tightly. I forced the words to come out of my lips, hoping that it’ll stop the pain that I’m feeling. “I, Margaux Knoxx, am accepting your, Gabriel Wilson, rejection.” The pain might have lessened but the pain that I experienced just now drained me. “What’s happening?” My first brother asked. “Why would you reject her?” My brothers growled. I ran out of the door and their territory. I don’t know where I’m going I just know that I need to be far away from the bastard that rejected me. I transformed into my wolf form and continue my run. My brothers tried to catch up to me but unfortunately I’ve had a great head start. I heard them howl, though. The snow started falling. The ground is now soft. I tried to sniffed and focused on my hearing hoping find out where I’m heading. The only thing that I’ve observed is the sound of the ocean which is quite far and the smell of the trees and snow, which I’m surrounded with. I just kept on running and running. Antoinette and I, howled our sorrows out of our hearts. As if that’ll work, right? The effort was, after all, futile. “I’m sorry, Margaux. I should’ve just listened to you. I shouldn’t have led you to believe that our mate will love us the way that he should.” Antoinette apologized but I know she shouldn’t have. “You don’t have to be sorry. It’s not like you know that our mate is a bastard.” I comforted her which, I know, does nothing at all. I just kept on running until I’ve reached the edge of a cliff below is an ocean. I howled my heart out, repeatedly. I howled until I can feel my voice no more. It reminds me of a song. Hoax by Taylor Swift, Stood on the cliff side screaming “Give me a reason.” . I felt a pang of disappointment. My wolf and I were a mess now. I remembered what Marcus said to me the night he left. “You aren’t my mate. Your mate is still out there. Waiting for you. He’ll love you.” That’s not true. He doesn’t even care about me. The moment he laid eyes on me he rejected me right away. Marcus, you’re a liar. "Where are you, Marcus?" I screamed. The snow is falling hard. The wind was strong. I kept shouting his name but as always he's nowhere to be found. I wanted him here. I wanted him to explain why. Why such tragedies happened to me. "Marcus." I said his name. My voice was weak from shouting. "Marcus. You LIAR." The world spinned and I saw nothing. Marcus POV The council is located up north. The weather here is way too cold. That’s the reason there’s only a couple of packs that’s living here. It’s been five years since the last time I held Margaux. She’s not my mate, I know that, but I also know that she’s my chosen mate. The bond’s already there. She already accepted me however her wolf doesn’t want me. She believes that Margaux’s mate is still out there, which is also true. I hate the fact that she’ll find her mate someday and she’ll be gone. I hate that she’ll belong to someone else. Damn, she even belonged to the bastard way before they find each other. I punched the nearest wall that my fist landed on. The wall is now ruined. It has a huge hall where my fist landed and cracks all over it. The other council members wouldn’t appreciate the new design that I put on the wall. I walked through the double doors of the meeting room and sat on my chair. The vampires were attacking villages and packs again. Those leeches just kept on ruining the peace that their leaders were pursuing. The Vampire Royalties were pursuing peace with the other supernatural beings for a long time now. However, the newborns and the lowborns were stubborn. Right now, we’re having a meeting with the Vampire Royals and finding a way to annihilate the “traitors” as they put it. In the middle of discussion my phone rang. It’s from the father off Margaux. I did not answer the call but he called again,so I excused myself and picked it up. “Yes?” “Sorry to disturbed you but Margaux ran away.” He said. “She’s there now, at the Black Rose Pack and ran away. Please help us find her. They said she ran to the forest.” He begged me. “What? Why?” I asked anxious. Margaux had never left her pack before. “Her mate, he rejected her.” The words that he said were both music and curse that he said. “I’ll find her.” I ended the call and excused myself as I have an emergency. “Margaux, where are you?” I growled.
