13. I'm Not Coming.

"Hello again. " I greeted Arjun as I entered my dorm room. He was still there conversing with Any.
He got up as soon as he saw me and made his way towards me.
"I was waiting for you. I wanted to make sure that you return safely. " He said cupping my shoulders.
"And what do you think could have happened to me? " I asked him in amusement.
"Anything, you never know, after all it's Ranbir Malhotra we're talking about. " He said sliding his hands inside his pocket and shrugging.
I just shook my head and headed towards my cupboard to get my night wear.
" So now that you're here safely I should leave. " Arjun said and I waved at him.
As soon as he closed the door Any jumped off her bed and locked the door. She then approached towards me and dragged me towards our beds.
"I want each and every detail. Don't leave even a single word. " She said sitting beside me on the bed in Indian style. She looked really excited which really amused me.
"But someone didn't wanted me to go and now wants to know everything. " I said looking at my nails, pouting a bit.
"Urg, Sanny just tell me already. " She whined as usual causing me to smirk.
"What if I don't? " I asked her raising my eyebrows at her.
" In that case, I won't even think twice before tickling you to death. " She said coming close to me.
"Really? " I asked smirking and she nodded. "Oh I'm so scared. " I said in a dramatic tone earning a glare from Any.
"Sanny please please please please please please please please please please" She pleaded with her puppy eyes and I had to give up coz YOU JUST CANNOT RESIST THOSE CUTE PUPPY EYES!!!
"Okay fine, I'll tell you. " And with that I told her everything without missing on a single thing except for the peck. She looked satisfied and then just hugged me.
After that I changed into my comfy clothes and as soon as I hit my pillow, I was out.

"You know I seriously don't mind staying with you. " Any said for the 5th time.
"No Any, that's not needed. You must go. " I told her heavy and she gave me an apologetic look.
"Okay, then I'm leaving but I'll come back soon. " She said hugging me and left closing the door after her.
Urg, I hate my life. I hate the warden, I hate the laundry man, I hate this whole universe. How dare they take all my party wears for laundry without my consent? Now I've nothing to wear and I can't go to the party. My life sucks! Even Any couldn't lend me a dress as even every dress of hers except the one she chose for the party are taken as well. This is highly unacceptable! I'm seriously gonna file a complaint against them.
They all left for the party and here I'm sitting in front of this television. All the shopping went in vain.
I heard my phone beeped. It's a message from Ranbir. Something I was waiting for! Note the sarcasm.
It read "Will be waiting to see you in the party Sunshine "
Urg! You're wait is never going to be over. Cause I'm not coming!
"I'm not coming. " I replied
"Why? " came his reply or question, what do I call it??
"Something personal that I don't wanna tell you . Now will you stop messaging me and enjoy your damn party???" I replied. I know I'm being rude but I'm just so pissed off that I really can't help it.
After that he didn't replied which I'm glad about. I just wanna be alone right now. Drown in my thoughts.
I was surfing the channels of the TV when I heard a knock on the door. Who could it be? Any? But she left only half an hour ago. She can't be back this soon. The party wouldn't have even started properly, it's 8 pm for crying out loud.
I went to open the door and my eyes widened in shock seeing the person in front of me. So who it could be, any guesses???
Of course it's Mr. Cheesy aka Ranbir Malhotra.
"Why? " I asked and he raised his eyebrows. Then smiled at me and pushed me lightly to make way for himself. Then without my permission, Sir entered my dorm and settled on my Sofa. How dare he?
"Excuse me? I asked you a question." I said looking at him with a frown. This guy always makes me frown and I hate it!
"Why are you not going? " He asked changing the channel.
"I asked you a question first. And you just can't answer my question with a question. " I told him.
"I came here to ask you this Sunshine. " He said looking at the TV. I went and stand in between him and the TV to gain his attention.
"Why don't you leave me alone and go to the party? Ranbir please go. " I told him.
"I will but firstly answer me, why ain't you going? " he asked standing up and coming close to me.
"Cause I don't have a dress. " I told him looking down.
"What? Are you already high? We went for shopping together Sunshine. " He said and I looked at him on the verge of tears.
"I know right, but I don't know why the warden gave all the dresses of the girls except the dress they chose for the party for laundry at the same time. But she gave my that dress as well. So here I am left with no party wear." I told him looking down.
"Oh. " he said and I looked up at him.
"Just an 'Oh'? Seriously? " I asked him in disbelief.
"Yeah, I mean that's not a big problem. You can wear the dress I bought that day, the black one. I still have it. " He said.
"But, why didn't you gave him to the girl you bought it for? " I asked him.
"I'm giving it to the girl I bought it for. " He said with a cute boyish smile and my heart melted at the spot.
"Thank you so much Ranbir, you're my saviour." I said and hugged him in happiness. Oh my god now I can go, yippee hurrey.
I felt him hug me back and then it hit me. I'm hugging him, I'm hugging Ranbir Malhotra. I immediately parted from him and looked down in embarrassment.
"You don't have to be embarrassed. I'll get you the dress. " He said and I nodded.

"C'mon Sunshine how much more time?" He asked for the 6th time in just 5 minutes.
"I'm done. I'm coming out. " I told him and came out of the washroom to find him sitting on my bed. When he looked at me his eyes widen.
"You look so beautiful Sunshine. We're not going. " He said and I chuckled.
"Yes we are. Now just give me 2 minutes, let me comb my hair and do a bit of makeup then we shall leave." I told him.
I applied minimal amount of makeup on my face, eye liner and my lip balm and I was ready. I'm not really fond of makeup so it was a quick job. My hair were curled a bit and a bracelet and diamond studded earrings were enough for me.
"Let's go. "I told him.
"You didn't do any make up? " He asked in amusement.
"Yeah coz I'm not a make up person." I told him and he chuckled.
"And you don't even need it. " He said pecking my forehead and snaking his arms around my shoulder.
