Chapter Nine

It's been three weeks since Tyler talked to me, no matter how I try to approach him he always ignores me and it was killing me, he was the first friend I made ever since I came out of that hospital.

Although I haven't recovered my memory fully, from what I remember I'm not familiar with Tyler and I'm not Vanessa, if I wasn't Vanessa then who was I? Why did I have the name Vanessa? Since when have I been using the name Vanessa? Why was I using that name? I had a lot of questions with no one to ask in particular and no matter how I think about it, it seems like Tyler knows the truth and that is the reason he has been avoiding me. Why can't he just come clean with me?

Ryder and Noah are now my very close friends since they already knew who I was, it was less awkward when I'm with them and so I made up my mind to move out of Tyler's place since I initially don't belong there.

Two days later

I'm moving out today, Tyler's mum isn't at home she went on a business trip and Tyler doesn't want to see me. I didn't have anywhere to go but for some reason I still feel it will be better if I moved out. After packing my bag and arranging the room, I finally left the house after leaving a message for Mrs King.

Before leaving I called Aunt Jasmine (I heard she's my aunt) and asked her for Veronica's number, she sent the number shortly and I soon called her asking her if I could crash at her place for sometimes before I get my own place she was very happy and agreed without hesitation. She's weird if I'm to comment. Don't ask me why I think she is.

Veronica POV

I was happy when I saw Vanessa's call and for the fact that she was coming to stay at my place. I took care of my room very quickly cuz according to her she would be here any minute from now.

Although my place wasn't very luxurious or anything it was still comfortable and I just hope she likes this place since it isn't anything like her mansion.

Ten minutes later, I heard a knock on my door and I went to open the door since I already knew who it was.

I hugged her as soon as I saw her, you might be wondering how I knew it was her considering the fact that I can't recognize faces, well I don't really have friends that comes to visit so I knew for sure that it was her.

I helped her move her stuffs into the room.

"Hi" she greeted me, although I couldn't see her facial expression, hearing her voice I knew something was up." Thanks for letting me stay here" she continued " I hope my stay won't make you feel uncomfortable".

" It's okay, I'm actually glad to have you here"

" Okay, but don't worry I'll definitely move out soon"

"Alright, so what's up? You don't sound like your self"

She told me about her brother and his sudden change in behavior and also that she had regained her memory but not completely. She then asked me a question that caught me off guard

" Who is Amelia.... I guess it should be Amelia Davis or something like that, I'm not really sure? Since you said we knew each other for a long time I feel you are the best person to ask that question"

'why was she asking me about Amelia? Does she remember Amelia from her memory but I can't remember Amelia saying anything about a Vanessa. And how did people suddenly become curious about Amelia, I mean Aunt Jasmine asked me about her also when we met."

"Why are you suddenly asking about her?"

" Nothing, it's just that I keep remembering the name so I was wondering if you knew her, you know maybe we were familiar with each other"

"Okay, Amelia is my twin sister, not biologically though, my mum brought her home one day and since we were age mates with the same birthday she naturally became my twin."

" Oh, so where is she now? I don't see her around you or around here"

' I was hesitating if I should tell her or not, I mean that seems like the first person she remembered, and I didn't want to destroy her happiness since she seems eager to meet her. I should just tell her the truth"

" Hmmmm, the thing is Amelia was involved in an accident with my mom, so both mom and Amelia died in the accident"

" No, Amelia isn't dead. She can't be dead." She kept mumbling to herself, I tried calming her down but it was to no avail. I was confused, I mean what was the relationship between she and Amelia for her to react strongly like that.

After what felt like forever she finally became calm and soon fell asleep or so I thought. She began screaming in her sleep, I guess she was having a nightmare or something, I was about to wake her when I heard her say something, I had to leave her alone since I wanted to know what she was saying

" Veronica, why did you abandon me? You said I was your sister and your best friend so why did you leave me alone to die?"

I was confused because I was sure I didn't know her before middle school, so what was she saying? And I remember telling only Amelia that so why does she know what I had told Amelia. I couldn't wake her anymore since she finally slept peacefully.

This chapter seems shorter than the other chapters, so I hope you guys won't be angry, I promise to make it up to you guys in the next chapter. And also I'm sorry for not updating the story earlier, I had exams to do but I'm done now so I will update the story promptly.
