Betrayed
{Griffin Mansion}
Damian sprawled on the white sheets as beads of perspiration rolled down his bare back.Beneath him entangled in the sheets with her long blonde hair stretched out was Darcy. Her manicured nails raked down his back as she let out a soft moan.
"Do you think she suspects us?" Darcy asked.Damian chuckled as he kissed her neck
"I don't care if she does, she's too busy with her work."
"No!" I shouted even before realizing it. Damian's head turned towards my direction,he glanced at me with so much disgust in his eyes.Everything stood still at that moment.
Our eyes met and Darcy's blue eyes looked at me lazily as she smirked covering herself with the white sheets. She didn't look ashamed, there was no guilt in her eyes, all I could see was victory.
My hands clenched in a fist and a wave of anger refluxed within my stomach.
"You." Darcy's voice came out sounding so cold and hoarse.Immediately, I pinched myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming.
Damian exhaled sharply running his hands through his black hair, he looked annoyed rather than remorseful.
"What are you doing here Ember? You weren't supposed to see this." My heart sank so hard into a dark depth,I was hurt.
"But here I am Damian." I replied him with a fallen countenance. Darcy gave a loud sigh as she stretched out on the bed completely unbothered by the ongoing confrontation I had with Damian.
"Just leave already." Darcy muttered. Her cold and nonchalant behavior set me on edge while Damian slipped on his pants.
"Why Darcy?why?" I moved forward with my hands shaking with the urge to strangle her to death but Damian was already in front of me moving swiftly to block me from reaching her.
His grip was tight as he grabbed my wrist dragging me away from Darcy.
"Ember don't cause a scene here, you are always so dramatic." A bitter laughter excaped my throat as my stomach boiled in anger.
"A scene?" Damian was concerned about me making a scene. My heart beat increased as I wrangled free from his grip.
"Oh Ember! you ought to have seen this coming."
"What?" I stared at her with blood shot eyes.
Darcy rolled her eyes from one side of the room to the other as she looked at me with so much pity.
"Ember don't act as though I betrayed you, of course you were on your way out already. You ought to have known that Damian had gotten bored being with you." I felt my whole world crumble the moment she uttred those words.Darcy had been my best friend,we had been through alot together but I couldn't stop my self from giving her a resounding slap that echoed through the pandemonium going on right there in the room. Her head snapped to the left side from the force of the impact and from that moment she had a puzzling look on her face but I wasn't done with either of them.
"Hell hath no fury than a woman scorned." I muttered.
I turned to Damian shaking with the fury that had overwhelmed me
"How dare you do this to me? after everything we've been through. After everything I have sacrificed for you." With my voice shaking I looked at him so intently hoping to get any remorseful reaction from him but there was none. The pain that flooded my heart from his betrayal stung deep but my emotion was nothing more than an inconvenience to him.
"You are just being dramatic." Damian exhaled rubbing his jaw as though I was invincible to him.
"Dramatic! I am the one being dramatic." I fired back at him but Damian's words shattered any lingering hope I had that what I had just saw was a mistake.I thought he would regret it,I thought he would fight for us but he didn't.He had concluded that I was the problem in his life, me Ember,I was the problem that he desperately needed to solve. Not his betrayal of my trust and not the woman on our bed.
My legs became too heavy to lift and hot tears rolled down my cheeks. I took a very shaky step backwards when my gaze met Damian's.His expression hardned and his voice was now low and sounded dangerous.
"You are not leaving me,you wouldn't dare."
"Just watch me." I responded swiftly. I wasn't the one who should be ashamed,Damian ought to be.I had every right to leave him and he wouldn't dare stop me.
"I am calling the divorce attorney right away,I am getting a divorce from you Damian Griffin,I reject you as my choosen mate.I am done with this charade with you called a marriage." I caught a glimpse of Darcy's face as she beamed with smiles.I was irritated by her presence. My hands shook as I stuffed my clothes and Zayn's into a suitcase, the silence in the room felt suffocating and I felt the walls closing-in on me.Damian's jaws clenched and his eyes darkened with a dangerous look but I didn't care.I was leaving and there was nothing he could do about it.I made a move to leave but Damian stood between me and the door.I tried pushing him aside but he held on to my wrist. His voice thundered above me
"I am pack Alpha and I can do whatever I like but you, you are my Luna and you will not make me look stupid in front of the pack."
I gave him a long glare before I garnered enough strength to shake myself free from his grip.I couldn't believe he wanted me to stay but I was already resolute on the fact that I had zero tolerance for a cheating husband.
I saw the flicker of fury in his eyes before I raced down the stair case with the suitcase in my left hand, I picked up my car keys on the table as I headed for the door.My marriage to Damian was over and Darcy could have him if she so desired him,but I knew I was done with him.I stepped out of the house with vivid memories of our young love on one part and a heavy heart mixed with hate on the other part.I took my car from the garage and as I drove off,the reality of Damian's betrayal dawned on me fully. He never loved me.
