“I never understood why you guys hated me so much. I thought it was because of the stupid prophesy and my hair that was the constant reminder that I was cursed but now I know it is something different. This is a pack of mean spirited bullies. Why else did you bring the other Alpha here? To bully him into peace. You don’t even like each other. You just tolerate each other. Come on if adults could bully a child who did nothing to them and teach their children to bully that child too then you are all wicked and heartless. Anyways I am leaving and not coming back. Ever. Good radiance.” She says. 

She starts to walk away when her mother grabs her hand. 

“Come home now Lily. You are not thinking right now. You can’t make a decision when you are being emotional.” The mother says. 

Lily calmly turns to look at the hand that is gripping her arm and looks back at her face. Then with a small smile she looks at her dad and says... 

“Kindly get your wife before I hurt her.” She says. 

The mother gasps and takes a step back. There is obvious shock and surprise on her face. 

She walks to the table where she left her purse and phone and grab those then she looks at her sister and her ex- mate and shakes her head. 

“I loved you, you were my best friend but not anymore. Not after today. I wish y’all nothing but misery.” She turns on her heels and walks out. 

Nobody says anything. 

She quickly gets covered by the trees as she walks into the woods. 

I signal to two of my men to trail her. I tell them not to accost or approach her. Just to follow her and make sure she’s safe. She needs to be protected now that she’s so fragile. 

I turn to look at the man that Invited me over. A friend to my father. 

I never warmed up to him all those years of watching him and my dad walk together and do business together. There was an arrogance and lack of empathy with him. He is not a bad person just cared about the wrong things and in a pack that can always or break a leader. He is walking towards me right now with his Luna by his Side. When he gets to me he stands straighter like that will make him as tall as i am. It won’t. I tower over him and a man with such a weak ego i can see it is doing a number on him for him to have to look up and gaze at my face.
