Chapter 7: Red seats

"you know sometimes you can be a bit of a drama queen you know. We are just joking around and playing with you and all you can think about is crying wolf. Always wanting Jeremy to save your dumbass." Freddie says with a smug smile. I want to so slap it off his smug face. There is nothing funny about this. Not even a little. “Oh come on now Jeremy, don’t get your panties in a twist. It was just a harmless joke. She’s not offended by it. Just ask her.” He suggests. Everyone stares at me now. He is not completely irresistible like Jeremy. Even if he is cute the bitterness in his heart and how mean he is doesn’t make me see what others are seeing anyways. Then there’s the other devil. Freddie. I hate him more than I hate Kent. He doesn’t smile as he sees me walk up to them. There is nothing but a blank and bleak look in his eyes. He doesn’t need a reason to be mean. He doesn’t need a reason to push me against the door or trip me to the ground. He just does it because it gives him some kind of sick pleasure. Sometimes I really do wonder how Jeremy can be friends with these people. They don’t deserve his good energy around them. I raise my chin up a tad bit and smile. They can’t hurt me here and that’s something for me. I reach them and Jeremy stands from where he was seated at the tree stump and smiles at me. I feel the butterflies gather in my tummy. This is new and exciting. The urge to run my hand into his hair is so overwhelming and I think it’s just because the full moon is coming very soon. Whenever the full moon is upon us we tend to all get jittery and more s****l alive. Maybe that’s why I am feeling the urge to hold him in my arms and rub my body against him. I ignore the two assholes watching us. “Hey lily. I have been waiting for you for like an hour.” Jeremy pouts. My eyes widen in shock and My mouth fall open in apology. “Omigod I’m so sorry. I could have sworn you said we should meet here by 6pm.” I reach for my phone to prove to him that I’m not a jerk or anything like that.
