Entering the house and seeing both my parents together fills me with joy. There is always that love between the both of them. It is near tangible and sometimes I swear that you can actually touch it with both of your hands you know ....
They both turn and smile at me as I enter the house they look at me. Mama walks to me and grabs both of my hands.
“Where did you go? You came home later than normal today?!” She asks as she brushes a loose lock of white blonde hair away from my face and kisses me on the chin.
“Mama!! You need to slobbering all over me.”!I chastise mummy as I push her away and head to the kitchen for a quick snack.
“Hi lily bear.” Daddy calls out form the living room.
“Hey dad.” I call back out.
“No kisses for me??” He says walking into the kitchen and looking at me with those puppy dog eyes he throws our way when he wants to emotionally blackmail us into doing something he wants.
“Are too old for kisses?? You don’t like my kisses anymore?” He asks looking aghast.
“What do you mean? I love your kisses.... I just don’t know why they always escalate to being tickled till I pee my pants.” I hold him down with a stare. he tries to give me that look or innocence but I’m not buying it at all.
