Chapter four: gnomes and gargoyles

529 Words
He is not completely irresistible like Jeremy. Even if he is cute the bitterness in his heart and how mean he is doesn’t make me see what others are seeing anyways. Then there’s the other devil. Freddie. I hate him more than I hate Kent. He doesn’t smile as he sees me walk up to them. There is nothing but a blank and bleak look in his eyes. He doesn’t need a reason to be mean. He doesn’t need a reason to push me against the door or trip me to the ground. He just does it because it gives him some kind of sick pleasure. Sometimes I really do wonder how Jeremy can be friends with these people. They don’t deserve his good energy around them. I raise my chin up a tad bit and smile. They can’t hurt me here and that’s something for me. I reach them and Jeremy stands from where he was seated at the tree stump and smiles at me. I feel the butterflies gather in my tummy. This is new and exciting. The urge to run my hand into his hair is so overwhelming and I think it’s just because the full moon is coming very soon. Whenever the full moon is upon us we tend to all get jittery and more s****l alive. Maybe that’s why I am feeling the urge to hold him in my arms and rub my body against him. I ignore the two assholes watching us. “Hey lily. I have been waiting for you for like an hour.” Jeremy pouts. My eyes widen in shock and My mouth fall open in apology. “Omigod I’m so sorry. I could have sworn you said we should meet here by 6pm.” I reach for my phone to prove to him that I’m not a jerk or anything like that. “Oh calm down lily, I was just pulling your legs. I wanted to tease you a bit. I only just got here. You are okay.” He says. I sigh in relief and smile at him. “Don’t do that to me. You know how I get. I get all nervous and jittery and ..... just don’t.” I warn him even when I can’t keep a straight face and I send up smiling. “I’m sorry lily pad. I didn’t mean to get you all mad at me.” He apologizes I just stand there beaming at him because I am dazed watching the light stream through the streaks of dark brown in his hair. He looks like a knight with his bright brown eyes with the gray specks in it and his full pouty lips. He is stunning. The prettiest boy in the room. The others fade in comparison. “Okay enough of you guys making goggly eyes at each other. It’s nice to see you lily.” Kent says. I drag my eyes with much strength to rest on him. “Hey Kent.” I smile tightly. “Oh. Why the long face ?? Aren’t you happy to see me?” He asks. “Not even a little bit.” I tell him.
