11 The following morning brought two big surprises. First, the largest snowstorm the region had seen in a while was suddenly on the near horizon. The trajectory of an oncoming cold front had switched directions unexpectedly and Pitkin Point found itself in the path of a major winter wonderland producing storm one week before Christmas. Second, parked outside The Thinking Bean was the next big event of Mistletoe Madness, a two horse team pulling a wagon full of hay or, as Zeke had dubbed it, The Jingle Bell Hay Ride.
