CHAPTER 32 NCB'S GROWING CONCERNS “Down thirty percent?” NCB’s angry shouts made Linda flinch when she walked into the office where he, George, and Connie were talking. NCB’s face was beat red. “Yavapai’s jacking up our property taxes by six percent and you’re telling me our stock prices have fallen thirty f*****g percent?” NCB bellowed. “Technically 31.5, but yes,” Connie replied. “Add to that, enrollments are down.” “By how much?” George asked. “We only have six signed up for the new class starting next week.” NCB growled and stared out the window. “That’s less than half our usual class.” Linda resisted the urge to walk back out again.
