MISSING LINK
Two people, one man and one woman, walked in dressed in business attire. Plain-clothes detectives, no doubt. The man carried a manila folder bearing what Shea guessed was the emblem of the Sedona PD.
They sat in the chairs opposite the small table.
“Ms. Stevens,” said the woman, “I’m Detective Hawthorne. This is my partner, Detective Chapman.”
“Yeah.”
“Looks like you’ve had a helluva night.”
