Chapter Eighty-Two

2050 Words

Eleanor’s POV Waiting for everyone had been painful, but it did allow me to have an in-depth conversation with Edward about everything. He told me all about the creatures in his laboratory, which was completely different from what I had assumed. Apparently, Edward had a working theory about those who lived in proximity to the dragons for long periods of time. He was absolutely fascinated by the dragons, not that the rest of us weren’t, but he took it to a whole new level. Edward had been collecting different species of creatures in the caves in order to study them. He wasn’t mutating animals and letting them out to wreak havoc. Because of the similarities to our animals, Edward believed that they were siphoning magic from the dragons and using it to better themselves in their environment.
