Athena has been working in her room for three days now and on that third day she comes into the main room we’re we are all sitting Fona was reading stories to the young ones I could hear them laughing away o was sitting in front of the fire watching the flames Ann was fussing around everyone as usual making sure we have everything and making sure we have food and drink and hot enough she was like the mother of the pack I was so glad to have her around she helped me a lot Athena comes over to me “is Alpha Marcus around” and when she asked that I swear I seen something like worry cross her face but it was gone as soon as it appeared I shake my head “no Athena he’s out looking for food and checking in with the men to make sure everything is still safe can I help you with anything” I ask “um no Luna I will wait for Alpha if that’s ok can you send him to my room when he comes back” now I was worrying “ok Athena I will and please call me Carmel” I smile and she nods and backs out the room and disappears I start pacing up and down across the window waiting for Marcus a few hours had passed it was getting dark out now when I fell down to the floor holding my belly and side and cried out with the pain Ann and Fona ran over to me helping me up “what’s wrong Luna” Ann looks scared “it’s to early for the baby”Fona moaned I shake my head “no no it’s not the baby it’s Marcus something is wrong he’s hurt” I cry I need to go find him he needs me “Gerrard is with him he will be fine and” she didn’t finish we herd a howl coming in threw the window from the forest and in that I stand all the men that are out in the front around the fire all howl back and change into wolf form and start running into the forest 2 started for the house and took post outside the door “Fona go ask them what’s wrong hurry” I planted Ann was dabbing a cloth against my head “breath Luna all will be fine you’ll see” but I was crying the pain was bad I want to be with Marcus just then Athena comes running in “Ann take her to my room put her on the bed” Ann doesn’t ask questions she just does as told and we go to Athenas room and I’m on the bed “now Carmel I’m going to put a gel across your head and belly is that ok” I nod as she rummages about her room mixing stuff in a bowl and putting it over my head and belly “what’s that” I ask it smells of lavender and mint “this is to help pain for you the baby and for Alpha aswell please relax I’m going to put a protection spell around you and it will go threw to Alpha and the baby and it will take away pain” she started chanting and waving a stick with smoke around me and the room I couldn’t understand anything she was saying it was in another language Ann stayed next to me and held my hand I could feel the mixture work the pain was fading Fona came in and rushed over to me “don’t worry Carmel a wolf attacked Marcus he’s ok just a little hurt he’s with Gerrard all our pack men are away to do a safety round the area to make sure no other wolf got threw they should be at the house soon anyway” she was talking in a rush and sweating “Fona hun sit down take a breath you need to calm down think of the baby” she sat herself down on the chair at the window next to the fire Athena ran the smoke stick over Fona aswell “ok that’s it all done we need to stay here wait for the others as you herd everyone is fine just try and rest” Athena tried to help saying all that but I can’t rest I need to see Marcus with my own eyes making sure he’s ok I want to wrap my arms around him smell him then I herd someone shout from outside it was my father voice I jump up go to the window Ann followed Fona was asleep already it was my father he stood a few feet from the window smiling “Carmel” he yelled I turn to look at Athena “he can’t come near here I pull a protection spell on the house the first night I came here no one can come close if they intend you the baby or Alpha harm” she looks happy I touch her shoulder “thanks Athena” she nods “Carmel I see you come out here” I could see he had two others with him Patsy and Cole his Beta “dad stop this go away leave us alone” I call out he bursts into laughter “I will not let your mate have a happy life he took my love my mate away from me I will take his away from him he will feel my pain” he finished and it hit me he wants to kill me now as Marcus killed my mother I took a step back as Patsy came into full view she raising her hands chanting I turn to Athena again she just smiles at me “aw don’t fret Carmel she isn’t half as powerful as me she doesn’t stand a chance getting threw this” she winks at me and steps in front of the window and gives a little wave to Patsy and Patsy stops her spell and screams out in anger “do you know her Athena” and she nods “ yeah I met her a few times years ago she was always trying to get me to teach her but I knew she was bad to the bone so never even entertained her but looks like she remembers me and not happy” Athena laughs out loud and Patsy was angry stomping around looks like she trying to think what to do next my father knew something was wrong and the next thing that happens is a whirl of snow goes around them and they vanish I take in a deep breath and head back to the bed and sit “Gosh I don’t know much more I can take of this” I put my head in my hands “don’t fret I’m here now everything will be ok in the end” she sounds so confident and hopeful I sit back and wait for Marcus to come back.
