I heard him chatting with Andrew before he finally took me outside and settled me into the passenger seat of his car. When we arrived at his house, he quickly led me to his room and lay down next to me. "I'm sorry," he whispered softly, almost as if he were speaking to himself, probably thinking I was already asleep. "I shouldn’t have left you earlier." There was a tremor in his voice that revealed his regret, as if he wished he could rewind time to prevent that sick bastard from hurting me and trying to assault me.
