My mind was foggy as I drove to the resort. I didn't want to go home. Phil was going to pick on my mood and start asking questions.
I was so confused about what to do. I was able to convince myself that I didn't need River because I didn't know the things he just told me but now that I know how deeply he felt about my rejection and how much he loved me, all my excuses seemed flimsy.
