“Here it goes nothing.”
“Where’s the two boys?”

FROM: MISSING : A - DAVIAN
Any request?
“May request daw ba kayo?” Tanong ko sa dalawa.
“Wala, yung usual nalang natin.” Sambit ni Annaya at mukhang walang balak mag luto o gumawa ng pag kain.
Tumango lang ako at saka nag reply sa gc.
TO: MISSING : A - RYEN
Just the usual.
FROM: MISSING : A - NOAH
Hindi mag luluto si Annaya?
TO: MISSING : A - RYEN
Ayaw, too lazy daw. And besides, biglaan, alam niyong amats yon madalas.
FROM: MISSING : A - NOAH
Right, on our way.
TO: MISSING : A - RYEN
When Harry Met Sally.
The title of the movie we decided to watch is “When Harry Met Sally”, a classic romantic comedy na matagal na ni Annaya na gustong panoorin. It’s one of those iconic love stories na lagi kong naririnig mula sakanya, and now I understand why people say it’s one of the best romantic films of all time. It’s not just about love, it’s about timing, friendship, and real conversations between men and women.
This movie was directed by the talented Rob Reiner, and the screenplay was written by Nora Ephron, who is known for writing heartfelt but witty romantic stories. It was released in 1989, pero kahit luma na, the story still feels relatable today. The main characters are Harry Burns, played by Billy Crystal, and Sally Albright, played by Meg Ryan.
The story starts with Harry and Sally meeting for the first time after college. They travel together from Chicago to New York, and along the way, they talk about a lot of things, especially about whether men and women can really be “just friends.” At first, parang hindi sila bagay. Harry is sarcastic and blunt, while Sally is organized, optimistic, and very picky. But as years go by, they bump into each other several times, slowly becoming friends, and eventually, more than that.
The characters are very well-developed. Harry is realistic and funny, pero minsan masyado siyang direct to the point. Sally, on the other hand, is idealistic and sensitive. Their personalities clash at times, pero that’s what makes their relationship interesting. They both grow throughout the film. They challenge each other, comfort each other, and become best friends before realizing that they’re in love.
For me, the most powerful themes in this movie are, the timing in love, value of friendship, and emotional honesty. The story teaches us that sometimes, love takes time. You can’t always fall in love instantly, sometimes it grows slowly through friendship. Another lesson is that the best relationships start from true connection, not just physical attraction. Lastly, the movie reminds us to be honest with our feelings. Kahit gaano mo i-deny, if you love someone, it will show.
One of my favorite scenes is the New Year’s Eve moment, when Harry finally realizes he loves Sally and runs across the city to tell her. He gives this heartfelt speech na sobrang simple pero totoo. He says he loves how she takes an hour to order a sandwich, how she gets cold when it’s 71 degrees, and how she makes him feel at home. That scene really made me tear up. It’s not grand or dramatic, pero it’s so full of emotion and truth.
“Hi girls.”
10 Things I Hate About You.
It’s based on a Shakespeare play called The Taming of the Shrew, pero ginawa siyang modern high school setting. I love how it talks about love, identity, and being true to yourself, especially during the teenage years na sobrang gulo ng emotions. Super relatable.
This film was directed by Gil Junger and was released in 1999. Even though it’s more than 20 years old, it still feels so fresh and relatable. The main characters are Kat Stratford, played by Julia Stiles, and Patrick Verona, played by the late Heath Ledger. Their chemistry was amazing. Kat is a smart, independent, and strong-willed girl who doesn’t care about popularity, while Patrick is the mysterious, bad-boy type na may deeper layers pala underneath.
The story is set in a high school in the U.S., and it revolves around the Stratford sisters, Kat and Bianca. Bianca wants to date boys, but their father has a strict rule: Bianca can only date if Kat dates first. But the problem is, Kat hates everyone and everything about high school. So a plan is made, someone has to date Kat para makalabas si Bianca. That’s where Patrick comes in. He’s offered money to take Kat out. At first, it’s all a setup, but later on, real feelings start to grow.
The characters are all interesting and fun to watch. Kat is not your typical female lead, she's strong, opinionated, and doesn’t follow the crowd. Patrick looks tough, pero deep inside, he’s sweet and caring. Bianca starts off a bit shallow, pero she matures. And Cameron, who likes Bianca, is so wholesome and funny. Lahat sila may growth sa story, which makes the movie satisfying.
The movie teaches many lessons. First, don’t judge people too quickly. Just because someone looks tough doesn’t mean they don’t have feelings. Second, don’t be afraid to be different. Kat stays true to herself even if people call her weird. Third, love comes in unexpected ways, and sometimes, it’s messy, complicated, and painful, but also worth it. And lastly, honesty matters. When Kat finds out Patrick was paid to date her, she’s crushed, and that scene really hurts, pero it also shows how trust is so important.
And I think, favorite scene naming lahat is definitely when Kat reads her poem in class called “10 Things I Hate About You.” She starts off angry, listing all the little things she hates about Patrick, but in the end, she says, “I hate the way I don’t hate you… not even close, not even a little bit, not even at all.” That line? OUCH. My heart. It was so honest and emotional. Kita mo talaga how love is not always sweet, minsan masakit, pero totoo.
