The Beginning
"The world itself is a system where everything is connected and well balanced. Any change that happens within the system is the aftermath effect of some another incident of equal value occurred. Nothing is lost...just repeated in a perfect cycle. Some call it fate, others call it coincidence, luck etc. But the truth, the purpose or the real intention of the system is always unclear like a myth...a surprise. -The End".
"Fate...huh?!" The young boy thought to himself as he closed the book in his hand and put it inside his bag.
Shinjiro Suzuki ,a 17 year old high school student.
Nerdy in appearance and holds an inordinate addiction to books.
He got no friends of his age to hangout with. Actually, he never ever got one in his entire life to be true. His only friends were books and his Grandfather.
Shin's Father and Mother passed away in a car accident when he was little. Then onwards he was taken care of by his Grandfather. His Grandfather was very loving and caring towards him. He was his best friend. But time did its thing and took him away as well from Shin, leaving him completely lonely.
Slowly but steadily Shin got over his dear Grandfather's death.
As he started his high school, he found a part time job in a library.
Everything is going very fine and normal in his life.
Shin is on the train from his school to workplace, where he just finished the book he started reading a few days ago. He stretched his hands and legs straight sitting down on the seat and yawned.
The train reached its destination, Shin got off the train and started walking. His journey stopped in front of a giant three storey building. It is the Library, the place where he works.
As he entered the building, he was greeted by a middle aged woman who is the receptionist of the library Mrs Yamamoto.
"Good evening Shin."
Shin greeted her back "Good evening Mrs Yamamoto."
"You are late... " Mrs Yamamoto said in a plain voice
"Sorry about that, I missed the usual train " Shin replied.
Mrs Yamamoto gave away a warm smile and said "Its ok."
As he was walking away, Mrs Yamamoto suddenly made a request "Oh Shin...can you please go check the old historical book section...some people complained the books are not well aligned and is very dusty there"
Shin agreed that he will check.
Mrs Yamamoto passed that warm smile once again in gratitude.
Shin got changed to his work uniform and went to the historical book section. He saw the books disordered and dusty as informed. He started his job cleaning it up .As he was cleaning the upper part of the shelf, he discovered a very strange and mysterious looking book. He took it in his hands. Cleaned it out off dust. There was no title on the book cover. The colour of book cover was violet in background on which some strange white circles were drawn .
He find the book quite fascinating, making him unintentionally say "Pretty cool..."
Shin opened the book in which it was written 'TALE OF AZGAL'.
"Looks like a story book, guess I will take this home today" he mumbled.
Completing his work for the day, Shin walked home . And yes, he ain't forgot to borrow the strange book he found. On the way shin bought some cheap cup noodles as well. After a few minutes of walk he reached his apartment doorsteps. He opened the door and said "I am home..."
A sudden sadness hit his face.
"Oh right...there is no one here to answer that" in a lower voice he said.
Closing the door he walked inside and placed all the stuff he was carrying on a nearby table. He laid down on the bed and covered his face by wrapping his hands over his head. Suddenly he remembered about that book he picked up. He got up from the bed and took the book out in his hand from the bag.
He stared at it for a little bit of time.
"What kind of mystery are you...even the library records didn't knew you existed there" he said, recollecting the expression of Mrs Yamamoto made when he took the book to her.
Sitting down on the chair in the study space arranged near to his bed, Shin started reading the book.
'TALE OF AZGAL'
"It was a story of an unknown entity deemed as the God, who created the world called Azgal. It was a world where humans, elves, dwarves and beastmen lived in peace. But one day suddenly the God disappeared. The Demon King took this oppurtunity to take over Azgal and bring all living creatures under his reign. He unleashed monsters into the world creating chaos and destruction throughout Azgal. The beautiful world suddenly turned into a sea of blood and dead bodies. Some people tried fighting back but were powerless against the enormous army of Demon King. When all hope seemed lost, a group of ten heroes out of no where came in defense of Azgal. They were immensely powerful. With their help the humans, elves, dwarves and beastmen fought back...crushing the enormous Demon King army. And finally the ten legends were able to defeat and seal the Demon King in a 'shrine of magic'. Before he disappeared, the Demon King, he cursed all existence and shouted he will one day come back to claim what is truly his. The heroes replied valiantly "Then we will be here, when the time comes". Without their leader, all remaining army of the Demon King gone hiding. The heroes were praised and looked upon as the new guardians of Azgal."
Shin is currently at page 298.He moved to the next page and to his surprise it was blank. Then he realize all other pages onwards are also blank.
He thought "Huh...what is this?...the story was good...but why is this incomplete...and so many blank pages"
Shin kept on going through the blank pages with a disappointed face. As he got to the last page of the book, there was something written. It was a message
"Congratulations...
you completed reading 'TALE OF AZGAL'
you can make a wish now!"
Shin felt like the book was getting more weird and weird.
He closed the book ,left it on the table and got back to his bed.
Sitting on his bed and yawning he said "Well...I guess I will go to sleep now"
He laid down on his bed and thought "Wish huh?!.."
A little smile appeared on his face
"If I will ever wish... then it will be to get away from this world and start over my life somewhere new." he murmured as he slowly closed his eyes, falling asleep.
As Shin closed his eyes the book started giving off a strange white light. Steadily it filled the whole room.
Time passed.
Shin started to wake up from his sleep. He tried opening his eyes. But it was too bright.
He thought "Huh...what is this?...did I accidently let the lights in my room on before going to sleep yesterday?!"
He sat upright, rubbed his eyes and opened it slowly. At that moment a sudden sense of realization shook him.... made him speechless.
He shouted in a tone mixed with surprise and fear.
"What is this??"
"Where am I ??"
"What is happening??"
