In The Mouth Of Danger

Ranveer's Point Of View:

I immediately ran outside. Devika was nowhere to be seen. I started calling her name out loudly but to no avail.

"There are a few goons out here, young man.", The scientist said in a concerned voice as I looked back at him.

"Which way?", I said concerned.

"To the left from here. ", He said as I immediately rushed through the trees.

"They are dangerous!", I heard his voice from behind but I did not care.

Devika was only mine and no body had the right to take her from me. Absolutely no one.

I ran for some distance until I reached a clearing which had a large house in the middle. It was a large old and worn out house with the classic look of a ghost mansion. If it was not for Devika I would not have considered going in it.

I took a deep breath as I slowly caught my breath and walked into the house. It was a dusty and dirty place to be in.

I could hear voices from inside.

"She is beautiful, bro! We will have a lot of fun tonight!", A young voice said with a laugh as the other supported him.

They were after all people of my type. We could talk it out.

I barged into the room to find Devika tied up to a chair with thick ropes. She was unconscious. The two men looked at me in shock.

"Who are you?!", Said one of them harshly.

"Yes! Why dare you enter our territory?!", The other asked in the same tone.

"Let her Go.", I said cooly. My coolness seemed to annoy them even more.

"As if we will listen to you?! She is ours now.. our property.", Said the first one as I felt my temper shoot up.

Devika was only mine. Nobody else's.

"I am telling you for the last time! Leave her!", I said loosing my cool finally as I looked at them irritably.

"And what if we don't? You will kill us?", The second man said mockingly pulling out a gun.

"Why not?", I replied in the same tone as I edged towards them.

He pointed the gun to my chest but I knew by his face that he did not have the guts to kill me. My presence could scare even the bravest. Devika was brave enough to survive it.

"Try killing me. Let me see if you can.", I said as I kept walking towards him. He stepped back as the other man immediately pulled out his knife and placed it at Devika's neck.

"I'll kill her if you do anything.", He said as I turned towards him.

"Leave her!", I shouted as I felt the metal tip of the gun touch my chest.

"Yes. We will. After we enjoy.", Said the man with a wicked smile.

I immediately held his gun and snatched it away from him.

"I dare you. Do it.", I whispered dangerously as the colour from their faces faded. I pointed it towards the man with the knife.

"Leave. Her.", I said looking straight into his eyes as he stood paralyzed.

The man beside me tried to hit me but I immediately punched him on his abdomen.

The next thing was him on the dusty wooden floor. I shot him on the chest. "I hate people who attack from behind.", My dangerous voice seemed to echo in the empty room.

I looked up at the man with the knife who immediately moved away from Devika.

"Good you don't want to die.", I said as I walked up to Devika and freed her. The man stood paralyzed looking white with fear.

I lifted Devika in my arms.

Just as I was about to turn I felt the cold metal tip of a gun at neck.

"Time for some Gangster Reunion.", The serious criminal voice said.

I immediately knew who it was.
