"Weng!!!" Matero's eyes lit up, the light was blinding, he had to close his eyes. He felt weightless for a second and he could feel sand beneath his feet. He opened his eyes and gradually made out his surroundings.
"Whaoooo." People were dazzled by the sights they saw, they were in a different place entirely. Looking up, the clouds were very low, you would be tempted to reach for them, the breeze was powerful, coupled with the sand, the entire terrain was like a beach.
Matero smiled, everything was like how he remembered it, if he was right, they were in a city called 'floating crest'. The city was an actual beach that floated above the nation, it constantly moved from one end of East star to another.
"Land masses can float?" Haru was like a dummy, like majority of the company, this was his first encounter with such a sight. "Incredible!" He marvelled.
Below, far below, one could see buildings that stretched out as far as the eyes could see. East star wasn't a tiny nation like fourth stand, infact, it was the largest nation in the eastern part of the burning continent.
The city below floating crest when the company arrived was larger than Sun city and the nation had dozens more like it.
Floating crest had just one structure and that was the grand palace of the nation's lord, a woman referred to as Queen Z. Any being that had crossed into the fourth realm is referred to as kings or queens, the same goes for queen Jin. A nation's Lord could be a king or a queen or none, Saru who was still at the third realm was not a king.
Queen Z had the highest authority, she governed the entire eastern part of the continent, people stronger than her existed but the faction that governed the continent had chosen her as the Queen over the entire eastern region if the continent.
Apart from the grand palace that towered into the sky, the entire floating crest was just a beach with no water bodies, the open space was enormous.
The company made camp at a spot, more participants began to appear and soon, the deserted floating crest came to life.
General Xiao represented the company in registering the nation, she came back with tags for everyone, the fifteen disciples had theirs and she also had hers along with the other three masters.
After two days of accrediting legible participants, the event finally began, everyone assembled, they all turned towards the castle. It was majestic, already elevated, it easily pierced the cloud. It was extremely far away from the gathering.
A bright light shot into the sky from the top of the castle, almost instantly, the same surge of light dropped from the sky and landed before the assembly, the light vanished to reveal a young beauty, clad in full purple armor, a huge sword lay beneath her feet and a small golden crown rested on her head.
Her appearance dazzled many, the aura exuding from her was majestic, even Matero was impressed.
“Wait is that Queen Z?”
“So young and already in the fourth realm.”
“Her aura is the greatest I have experienced in the journey so far.” Matero made his analyses, who ever this was, they didn’t just look young, she was actually actually young, about twenty. Her aura also superseded that of everyone else Matero had met, including every cultivator in fourth stand.
“Greetings, I am general Kara.” Everyone heard the voice like she was right beside them. “I will be in charge till Queen Z appears.” Kara gently levitated, standing on her huge sword that was like a board, it was like she surfed on air.
According to Kara, the semi continental event would have four stages, different from all the previous ones. The event will not just produce geniuses, it will be used to select men for the universal army for the impending universal war. The first stage will be to limit the amount of participating nations.
The stage began swiftly, it had no spectator apart from the members of the nations themselves. Each nation was to provide three disciples to represent it.
Various officials moved around making matches, they would select two random nations, the nations would present their representatives and with a mechanism, the officials would move the representatives, a master from each nation and officials to another dimension. It functioned in a way similar to the mechanism in fourth stand. The others would await their return and results.
“They are pitching the weak against the strong.” Koi noticed the matching method. “They never did this before according to past reports, our nation might not survive this stage.” Koi announced sadly, looking around, some nations even had disciples that could wrestle him.
As an official approached, they all had defeated expressions, Matero was expressionless, the truth was that they were outmatched, the black nation was indeed weak.
“Hmm, samurais from the black nation, I didn’t believe you would appear.” The official smiled, he then nodded in acknowledgement. “well you deserve a chance.” The official added.
The entire company brightened up, it looked like this official would go easy on them.
“Well, if you will strive in this event at all, then you must be able to at least defeat that nation.” The official gestured towards a particular direction, they all turned in the direction and the sight was shocking.
“Isn’t. That. Erka. Mist?” Haru said one word at a time, no one could tell if he was excited or furious.

“I hope the director is progressing smoothly.” Einko was no longer wearing his coat, you could tell he was tired with the way he spoke.
“Of course sir, she has successfully taken up her role. The others have also been integrated successfully.” One engineer replied.
“The malware is still progressing steadily, it has engulfed about thirty percent.” Another engineer announced.
“I believe the luck we have is that the malware has no enforcers. Make sure our rivals don’t get a wind of this.” Einko instructed the engineers, he shuddered at the thought of what would happen if rival companies knew what was going on. “How long before we make contact with Ben?” Einko questioned.
“Soon. He is very close to one of our men now, they should make contact in no time.” Someone replied Einko.
Einko nodded and took a deep breath, to him, the future was filled with so much uncertainty. His plans were progressing, the malware was equally progressing, everything seemed normal. Too normal. Einko felt this was just the calm, the calm before the storm. Something was on its way, he couldn’t tell what, but he felt it and somehow, he was right.
NB:- For clarification, Queen or King with capital 'Q or K' stands for real rulers like Queen Z. While queen or king with small 'q or k' stands for a title due to the realm, like queen Jin.
