Chapter Eighteen
He massage his temples shutting his eyes closed as he took in a deep breathe trying to relax. He just finished his meeting and all the other schedule for today and it was very tiring.
He massage his wrist leaning against his swivel chair before messing up his hair. He just went back to Korea after years of staying in New York for training and some business stuff that his father wants him to do.
His secretary already went home, he made him go first since he finished reviewing one of their project in collaboration with a certain high-end brand.
He stood up putting his phone inside his pocket as he made his way out of his office. The stress and the amount of work that he just did in a day clearly shows because of his expression, he looks worn out.
He went inside the elevator and the three girls who's just talking bowed their heads at him and he did the same too.
He let out a small smile when he went outside first as they reached the ground floor. He stopped and looked straight into wide television that has a smartphone commercial currently playing.
"Seokjin...."
He bit his lower lips while watching the way Seokjin gracefully moves complimenting the phone in his hands. The reason as to why he's in demand, he can make any item stand out just because he's the one using it.
He cleared his throat shaking his head a little to wake himself up before finally making his way out of the building not wanting to dwell to much on his past.
He went inside his car driving away from the place. He turned on the radio only to turn it off again not really liking the music that's currently playing, a song from an idol who's rumored to have a crush on Seokjin.
He arrived at their huge house and stopped his car infront of their door step. He went outside giving his car keys to their guard to park his car properly in their garage.
He bowed at the man, "Thanks." He mumbled before jogging inside the house.
He furrowed his brows as he looked at his wristwatch. It's already eleven in the evening and all the light is still turned on.
It all made sense when he saw his mother sitting on their couch with her head resting on the armrest sleeping peacefully.
He knelt down infront of his mother letting out a faint sigh before kissing both of her hands that made his mother stirred in her sleep eventually opening her eyes.
"Why are you here, Mom? Let's go to your room."
He stood up still holding his mother's hands but the woman immediately took her hands back shaking her head a little.
"I am waiting for you," She looked away, "And for your father." She said in almost a whisper.
"What? No. You have to rest. Dont wait for that person." He harshly said.
"Jungkook...."
He stared at his mother, his expression quickly softened. He sat next to his mother hugging him from the side as he buried his face on his mother's neck like a child.
"Mom, please. Rest, okay? Let me wait for him instead." He said.
He doesnt want to see his father but if he needs to do it just to make his mother finally rest then he will even with a heavy heart.
Taeyeon took in a deep breathe before slowly nodding her head. Her son helped her stood up and was about to go with her as she made her way towards the staircase.
"I can do it, son. Dont worry." She said with a warm smile.
Jungkook sighed in concern nodding his head and letting his mother walked away from him. He turned his back against her and sat on the couch waiting for his father to come back.
He's never going to get used to this. He will never get fond of holding folders, laptops and pen instead of pencil, brushes and a palette. He will never going to love what he's forced to do.
After almost two hours of waiting and almost giving up, his father walked towards the living room and he immediately stood up.
"Why are you still awake?" Seojoon, his father asked.
"I told Mom that I'll wait for you." He said rolling his eyes.
He looked at his father in disgust. He didnt even go to the company today. He's sure as hell that he messed around with his mistresses again.
"Why dont you just f*****g divorce my mother?" He asked not caring about how disrespectul he sounds.
The person standing before him doesnt deserve any of his respect not as a person and most especially not his father.
He did nothing but to break them especially his mother.
His mother might not say it and she might act all tough infront of his father but he knows that she still loves him- she always does even after all the pain that he gave to her and it's irrirating the hell out of Jungkook.
"Your mother wont like that, Jungkook." He tilted his head to the right, "And it wont be good for the company." He said in a stern voice.
Jungkook clenched his fist hating every single thing about his father.
Because of him, he's the main reason as to why he's suffering. He made him come back only to manipulate him.
He's ready to suffer because he doesnt really want to go back but not when he find out that his mother got into a car accident whilef following his damn bastard of a father with his mistress.
She got injured not being able to walk for half a year, that's why Jungkook stayed with her to take care of her. She got stressed because of the whole thing by her husband and by her condition, that's why Jungkook stayed with her going with her everywhere she goes.
"You're so f*****g shameless." Jungkook spits like a venom.
Seojoon balled his fist clenching his jaw grabbing his son by the collar and Jungkook didnt even flinch.
"Go! Punch the hell out of me," He hissed, "This is what you're good at." He smirked.
Seojoon let go of his son running his fingers through his hair. Jungkook shook his head a little clenching his fist.
"I f*****g gave up everything for your stupid company. We have a deal, I came back so leave your f*****g mistress!"
