Thalia POV:
As I walked back to the pack house with Ares, I started to think about the tale that I was about to tell all the people that cared about me. I know that Ares will be angry when he hears some of it. I plan on sitting on his lap as I tell my tale. I know that there is a possibility that I will have a PTSD episode during the story and I know that he will be the only one to be able to pull me out of it. This story needs to be told, and I hope I am strong enough to tell it.
"Little one, as long as we have our family and our mate with us, we can do anything," Sapphira said to me as she started to sense that my mind was wondering too much. "Tell them everything and be prepared to be loved and protected for the first time ever in your life." I agreed with her and followed dad into his office with the rest of our family.
As soon as everyone was in the office, dad closed and locked the door. He went over to his desk and sat in his large chair. Mom went over and sat on dad's lap and dad pulled her close. Leo went over to one of the chairs that were in front of the desk and sat down. Ares sat in the other chair and pulled me down into his lap. I readjusted myself so that I was able to cuddle his neck if I needed a moment to calm myself. He wrapped his arms around me like dad was and held me close to him.
"Ok little one, do you want to start with what happened at work or do you want to start with your story? Either way, the choice is up to you," Dad said as he looked at me with soft eyes.
Nodding, I looked up at him. "My story is long and hard, so let's start with work. Everything was going great until about 25 minutes before my shift was supposed to be over. There was a guy who thought it would be a great idea to mess with me while I was cleaning the lobby. He sat there harrassing me, saying that I should go home with him when I was off and show him a great time. When I declined his offer, saying that I had a man waiting for me at home, he started acting like a child. He started pouring his frappuccino all over his table which I had just cleaned. He smirked at me and asked me what I was going to do about it. I calmly asked him to please leave. He started yelling at me to never tell him what to do and to lick it off the table. Rory started to get up to help me but just then Camilla, my boss, started walking up to the guy. I was starting to have a PTSD episode, so I turned around because Sapphira was ready to tear that guy apart for triggering me. Camilla told the guy to leave and to never return again. She tried to reach out to me to see if I was ok. Rory tried to tell her to back off, but before she could, I turned to ask her if I could go home. I didn't realize that at that point that my eyes had changed to Saph's. As soon as she saw my eyes, she reached into her apron and pulled out a knife and started attacking me. Ron grabbed her and she yelled that I was fired and to never come back. Saph felt offended and started clawing at me from the inside and whelp here we are." I finished the story and looked at everyone. Dad nodded and told me that he was sorry that happened to me.
I took a deep breath and let it out slowly. Now it was time for the hard part. However before I could start there was a knock on the door. Leo got up and opened the door. Standing there was Rory with a sheepish look on his face. He was holding Freya's leash and she was pulling up to where I was and she started sniffing at me and Ares.
"I'm so sorry, Alpha. Alpha Prince. She was acting like she needed to go outside, so I took her outside. When we got back inside she stopped and sniffed the air. She ran right up to the door and started whining. I can take her to Thalia's room if you would like me to."
I nodded and thanked him for taking care of Freya for me. I told Freya to listen to Rory and sent her to our room and shut the door behind them. I returned to Ares' lap and continued.
"The story that I am about to tell you will be hard to listen to but I ask that you bare with me. As difficult as it is for you to listen to imagine how hard it is for me to tell it.
I was born late in the night on July 26th to my human biological parents, Todd and Amanda Walker. Todd was a wanna be cop who seemed to have friends in all of the right places. He was a drunk who loved to hang out at cop bars and then he would come home and beat my mom and rape her. One day my mom walked in on him "changing" me but she found him without his pants on and my hand on his....package. When she tried to go to the cops, they refused to believe her and told her to come back with proof other than her word. She finally had to make the decision to send me and my brothers into the system to keep us safe. I never heard from her or my brothers ever again after that. I was 6 years old at that time.
2 years after I went into foster care I was adopted by a family who had 2 sons and really wanted a daughter. I became Thalia Thompson and was so happy for a while. When I turned 11 my older brother decided that he wanted to have fun with me. He tried to rape me one night when our parents were out on a date night. I grabbed a plastic fork and stabbed him in the arm with it and ran and hid in our parent's room. When our parents came home, he told them a bogus story that he was trying to help me with my chores and I stabbed him out of nowhere. My parents decided that they could no longer deal with my behavior and shipped me off to the first family that offered to help in any way.
Some of the homes that I lived in were great and some were not. I never stayed anywhere longer then 6 months because my family didn't like having to pay anyone to take care of me. My second to last home was willing to take me in permanently but my dad had passed away and at that point my mom just wanted nothing to do with me. She refused and took me from that house and placed me in the last family." At this point I paused and shoved my face into Ares's neck. This was the hardest part of my story and I was feeling very close to an attack. "If only I had known that this home was going to ruin me in ways I could have never imagined, I would have ran away the second I was dropped off."
