Serene's POV The day was almost coming to an end, and I hadn't laid eyes on Hunter, not even a glance at him. I wondered what he could be doing to be so occupied. I had searched everywhere for him. His bodyguard informed me that he hadn't left the house all day. “Excuse me” I called a maid holding a laundry basket. “Have you seen Hunter by chance?” There was a mischievous smirk on her face. She tried to hide it, but I was quick to catch on. She knew something. “He's been in his room all day,” she replied. “Thanks.” Why didn't I think of going there? It was supposed to be the first place I'd looked. I walked up the stairs leading to his room. If he is sick, then he needs to be checked by the pack doctor. I shook my head. No, Hunter rarely gets sick, something else must be keeping him holed up. Besides, I need to see him on an urgent matter, one that can't be postponed. Without bothering to knock, I opened the door wide. My mouth hung open in shock, as my brain tried to register the sight before me. Hunter was on the bed, panting and sweating, his hand circled the neck of a strange woman I had never seen before. He was pumping his d**k voraciously into her while she screamed in delight. They were both naked, their bodies drenched in sweat as they continued in the act intensely. My body was enveloped in cold, my hand still attached to the knob, my brain unable to think about anything but the bizarre action taking place. They suddenly noticed my presence, as the woman smiled at me, mocking my foolishness, adjusting her body on the bed, her huge breasts clapped together. Hunter gave me a wicked stare, his eyes locked on mine as he continued in the act more intensely with her without a care in the world. They didn't pause for a second, the tempo of the woman's moans increased by the minute as Hunter slapped her butt cheeks hard. Leaving his palm prints on them, I had to leave, walk away from them, but my legs failed me. It was suddenly rooted to the ground, I could not feel any part of my body anymore. Tears I didn't know had welled up in my eyes and poured out, staining my dry cheeks. I wept without shame, the sobs choking my breath, Hunter's cruelty knew no bounds as he didn't see the need to stop. Instead, he increased his vigor, never blinking from his hate stare. They both collapsed on the sweat-soaked bed, breathing hard. The woman crossed her thighs over Hunter, who was stark naked. After catching his breath, he removed her thighs from his legs, stood up without wearing anything, and strode towards me. It was the speed of lighting. I felt the powerful hit of his hands across my face, and I landed on the ground. The first time I moved since I opened the door, and Hunter helped me with it. My head hit the ground hard, and I saw stars for some seconds. Pain seared through my skull. I thought I heard a crack in my skull from the impact with the ground. Hunter towered over me, his c*m dripping on my body. I could not even recoil or move an inch. “How dare you interrupt me?” He spat with so much venom. “You have no fear, you even have the courage to stand there and watch me with your stupid accusative eyes.” My head throbbed with pain, he wasn't remorseful about it, but he was angry and bitter that I interrupted him. Angry enough to lay hands on me. I pressed my hands to the ground, gathering strength, until I could stand facing him. My body trembled as I managed to stand. I would not be daunted by him. “I should be the one asking the questions here?. How could you bring yourself to cheat on me when we are mates?” I tried to control the emotions in my voice, but my eyes betrayed me as tears started pouring again, my voice was shaky. “Answer me Hunter!” I screamed with all my might. He placed both hands on his waist, and put his head to one side. “You already know the answer, but since you want me to spell it out to you, I will gladly do so.” I braced myself, ready to hear whatever stupid excuse he had for cheating on me. “You are nothing but a weak, wolfless, abandoned and stupid girl. It would be absurd if I truly had any meaningful thing to do with you.” I felt the pang in my chest seize my breath. I have a wolf. It is just weak and not able to manifest itself yet. That doesn't make me stupid. The naked woman on the bed giggled mockingly. Hunter turned to face her. “Can you excuse me for a moment, I'll send for you once I'm through with this thing.” She gave me a hateful stare, she was obviously enjoying my humiliation. She wrapped herself up strutting away, not before receiving another spank from Hunter. They were really doing everything to make me look stupid. Fine, if he doesn't want to be with me for his crazy reasons, then so be it. I didn't want to be with a cheat who feels no remorse either. I'd just say what I came for then leave. “Early this morning, I was going through the documents you had me sign months ago, then I saw that it was indeed a transfer of all my assets to you.” A broad evil grin spread across Hunter's face as he placed both hands on his waist. “When I said you are stupid, I actually meant it. It took you months to figure that out. Yes, it was a transfer agreement I gave you to sign.” “What?” I screamed, not believing any of it. “How could you?” “Well, I did, and there's nothing you can do about it.”
