HOW TO JAZZ UP A BORING PONYTAIL:
A simple ponytail can be turned into lots of new styles with a little know - how and some practice, you'll soon have the best ponytail around.
** WRAP IT **
Put a strand of hair out of your ponytail. Wrap it around the top of your ponytail until the hair elastic is hidden. Secure it in place with a hair clip.
** KNOT IT **
Separate your ponytail into six to eight sections. Twist each section around and around until it forms a loose knot. Pin each knot randomly onto the back of your head.
** CURL IT **
Curl the ends of your ponytail with Velcro rollers. Simply twist the rollers into slightly damp hair and leave them in until it's dry. When you remove the rollers, spritz the curls with hair spray to help them last all day.
** CRIMP IT **
Pull a few random strands of hair loose from your ponytail. Ask an adult for help crimping them with a heated crimping iron. Then let the tendrils fall loosely around your face.
** BRAID IT **
Simply braid a ponytail and secure the end with a hair elastic or pretty hair clip.
** ACCESSORIZE IT **
Grab some pretty clips, hair ornaments, or other hair jewels and attach them all around the base of your ponytail. Alternatively, brush your hair into a low - slung ponytail at the nape of your neck. Tuck a few feathers (peacock feathers are fantastic) into the hair elastic.
** DIP IT **
Use temporary hair dye (the sort that washes out right away - not permanent or semi permanent). Follow the instructions on the package carefully, but only apply the dye to the ends of your hair. It should look as though your ponytail has been dipped in color. Experiment with funky colors like black, red, or orange.!
