They had reached the venue, but Vincent, Michael and Orion were blindfolded. A hand intertwined Vincent's and he knew instantly that it was Dylan. His dainty fingers and soft palm were hard to miss. Dylan reached over and took Vincent's blindfold off. He looked down at Dylan, who was smiling brightly at him. Vincent looked around and found that Orion and Michael were nowhere to be seen. "They're okay, They'll be in wonder soon enough." Dylan winked at Vincent. "And, what do you have in mind for us, little vixen?" Dylan pouted but then broke into a giggle. "We take a walk." Dylan took Vincent's hand and led him through a small gate. There was a path, it was a brick road, with tall bushes on each side and the bushes bore vines. Vinncent smiled at the setting. They walked slowly, Dylan was holding on to Vincent's arm. Vincent couldn't swallow the curiosity, "What did you plan for Michael and Orion?" Vincent asked, bashfully avoiding the sudden halt in Dylan's walking. Dylan sharply turned around to face Vincent, "Why are you so curious?" Vincent just shrugged. "Curiosity killed the cat." Dylan muttered, smirking at him. Vincent hooked a finger into Dylan's sweater and pulled him close. "You're the cat between us." Vincent whispered to Dylan. There was silence around them, their breathing and a few crickets chirping in the distance. "I scratch." Dylan clapped back and winked at Vincent. "We'll see that tonight", Vincent whispered in Dylan's ear and he was sure to leave a kiss just below his ear so Dylan knew that Vincent was a man of his word. He held Dylan's waist and pulled him closer so he was plastered against Vincent. Vincent smiled and smelled Dylan's hair. It was the same shampoo Vincent used. Cheeky Brat. Dylan coughed and pulled away. Grabbing Vincent's hand, he dragged him down the brick road path and they reached a small clearing. Vincent was star struck at what he saw. There was a gazebo, pure white in colour and decorated with fairy lights of golden and red colour. He had never seen anything so beautiful. Dylan let go of Vincent's hand and then ran and went inside the Gazebo. He beckoned Vincent to come and take a closer look. Vincent looked at his boy, he was so giddy, the golden and red lighting up Vincent's world. Vincent was spell bound at the beauty he was witnessing. It was eternally beautiful. Vincent went inside the Gazebo and pulled Dylan close to him. "It's beautiful, brat". He said, making Dylan pout. Vincent laughed at the most innocent of the pouts till date he had ever witnessed. Vincent was definitely happy. More than happy. He was elated. He looked at Dylan and cupped his face gently. Caressing his cheeks, he leaned in and pressed his lips against Dylan's. Softly kissing him, he swiped his tongue on Dylan's lower lip asking for entry, but Dylan didn't part his lips so that Vincent could claim his little mouth. Vincent bit down on Dylan's lip, causing him to gasp and took the opportunity to plunge his tongue in Dylan's mouth, swirling his tongue with Dylan's, exploring his mouth. When the lack of oxygen hit both of them, they pulled apart and Vincent held Dylan close. They chuckled and then Dylan took Vincent's arm and made him stand at the centre of the Gazebo. Dylan disappeared for a few seconds and came back with a cake in his hands. Vincent was stuck for a few moments and then it hit him. Dylan knew about his birthday. "How did you know?" Vincent looked at Dylan, who placed the cake on the floor and took off his shoes and sat down cross-legged. He urged Vincent to do the same. Vincent was confused but he also kicked off his shoes and sat down. As soon as Dylan lit the candle, the fairy lights dimmed, casting a soft light on both of them. "I might've bribed Jack.." Dylan snickered. Vincent was at a loss of words. Vincent had always kept this a secret, he never liked celebrating his birthday, it was just like any other day for him. "Why?" Dylan tilted his head, looking at Vincent like he had lost his mind. He didn't know what to make of it. "I know you don't like it today, but I like you and everything related to you. Plus, you gotta start counting how many years you have left..." Dylan let out a snicker. Had he just called Vincent old? "Did you just?" He asked over pronouncing every single word. The grin on Dylan dissolved into a frown. Vincent held his menacing stare for a few seconds before breaking into a smile. "There's wax on my cake now..." Vincent laughed and Dylan pouted, "Make a wish first!" Dylan cheered. "I wish to forever be with my little Brat." Vincent then blew the candle. Dylan clapped and leaned over to place a chaste kiss on Vincent's lips. "I'll forever be with you old man." Dylan handed the knife over to Vincent and he cut into the cake. Slicing a piece, he first fed it to Dylan and then Dylan took the piece from his hands and smeared it over Vincent's face while laughing his ass off. "You better clean that if you want to walk straight tomorrow." Dylan rolled over laughing at this, "Nothing about me is straight." Vincent had to admit, It was clever and funny. Vincent used a spoon that was in the box and dug into the cake. It was a rich dark chocolate with the perfect amount of bitter and sweet. They both ended up eating half of it and then walked out of the gazebo. Not too far away there was a blanket strewn across the grass, Vincent and Dylan laid down facing the sky, Their hands holding each other. "Meeting you was written in the stars, my love." Vincent spoke softly, turning to Dylan. "I love you." They said in unison.
